Hello, I am helping my husband's grandmother to apply for citizenship. Now she is 80 and since 13 years a resident meaning she has to take the English test. The problem is that she doesn't speak English at all. What happens if she doesn't pass the test? Does anyone has experience with it? How does it work with the doctor's exemption. She is not disabled physically or mentally.
Thanks in advance!

Ok sorry for the confusion. I asked her and she said it is something like a temporary resident card which you I think have to renew every two years. or do you call it conditional green card
I will ask her for more details that might will help more

I have a similar situation. I am the only one on the birth certificate of my daughter but she has a father and some contact. Therefore you need to fill it out with her fathers name. They will not ask why the birth certificate is blank.
I sent my paper in June and they got approved so don't worry about it.

Hello together,
I have friends who wanna file for AOS. She is original from Colombia but is living here for a long time already on a temporary greencard which she always renewed. Now where they are married for over a year they wanna file for a permanent greencard for her. Which documents do they need to file?
Thanks

Good question! I came here with my daughter for a two week vacation to visit my boyfriend (not the father of the child) in 2008 and they never asked me about a letter from her father. Maybe it depends on from which country you are coming in.
But maybe because I was just staying for two weeks and not a month.

I came here in 2008 on a tourist visa to visit my back then boyfriend for two weeks and when the officer asked me what I am doing here I told him wait I am here in vacation visiting my boyfriend and he gave me the stamp. Not a big deal. He didn't wanna see any evidence etc.
You shouldn't have any problems with you are only here for two weeks on vacation.
