Congratulations WindyCity.

In my Case it looks like my case was flying cus I filed through Texas,

it took me 2 and half months to get done with my interview,

Since i am changing my name i will have to wait for court ceremony which i dont know how long its going to take.

My case status has not changed either. Hopefully this coming week it will change.

Thanks you guys!

Mine was little over 1.5 hrs, but we had a delay. Letter said it's at 1pm, so We got there at 12:30, they started leading us to the auditorium well after 1pm, and ceremony didn't start until 1:47. Some people had letters stating 2 different timings (1 letter said 1pm and another said 1:30pm) so they decided to wait to make sure everyone gets in. We had 135 people taking the oath that day, from 40 different countries, and whole lot of babies and toddlers causing rukus by the end as they ran out of patience (including my son) By 2:45 we were ready to head out. I didn't stop for voters registration.

I'm a US CITIZEN!!!!! Today was my oath ceremony, I was so overwhelmed I cried! Multiple times throughout the ceremony! Congrats to everyone who got throught the interview and good luck to everyone who's waiting!

Hello,

I have been married to the same US citizen for 6 years, and have been a permanent resident for over 5 years. I received a job offer from a large US company to work in Singapore. It's not a temporary assignment, but it was a very good offer so I accepted it.

I didn't want to worry about my green card taken away, so I filed N400 for naturalization a week ago. I just received receipt confirmation email. I plan to leave the US in 17 days, while my husband will stay in our house for a few more months (time undecided yet) before joining me in Singapore. We will still keep our house and bank accounts here in the US.

My questions are:

1. Is it OK to work abroad after filing N400? I plan to fly back for interview and oath. Will it be ok?

2. I would love to have the bio-metrics done before leaving, so it saves me 1 trip back. Is there anyway I can contact USCIS office and ask if I can? I don't know if it's a good idea to let them know I will be working abroad soon, but maybe they will know anyway? I would like to be honest to USCIS about my situation. But I don't know if working abroad permanently makes my case easy to be rejected.

Anyone has been in the similar situation? How should I handle it? Any suggestion is appreciated. Thank you.

I think you should get your biometric appointment letter in a week or 2, as soon as you get the letter take the letter and your itinerary go to the application support center and ask them to do a walk-in appointment. Once you get through the biometrics you can travel. When your husband receives your interview/test letter, come back for the interview/test. Once you pass it, explain that you are working abroad and if they can accommodate you for a quick oath (some people got oath same day, some within a week).

Has anyone else who did early walk-in FP besides girimurthy received "in line for interview" notice yet? I've seen on June, July and August topics that they got in-line for interview 2-4 days after FP

I have question about each place I gain education. I studied in a community college which has 3 different branches or campuses in three different locations. I took classes in all three campuses. On N400 form can I write only one address or three different address? The college name is waketech community college and the campuses names are north campus, health science campus etc. And, I also took one online class this year for three months. I do not know their address but I know the website name. what should I do whit that?

List the main address of the college you went to, regardless of which campus it was in, or whether it was online. As long as the courses were taken from the same college and paid to the same college.

If you took classes from several different colleges then list those different colleges separately.

I have a question for you. I seen that your window for naturalization opened up on the 22nd and you sent your package on the 16th. That's almost a week, they didn't send your package back? I'm eligible on the 28th and I was thinking about sending it tomorrow but I was afraid they will send it back to me.

If you are counting your eligibility date as "residence since..." Date on your green card +3 or 5 years, then you can file 90 days before the exact 3 or 5 years

For example if your green card was issued on 09/28/2010, then you are eligible to file on 06/30/2013 or after, and they won't send it back to you because it's not full complete 3 years yet

Hi, forum newbie here! I'm hoping to join the September list and send off my application tomorrow! Quick question though: I got my GC through marriage, but it's been 7 years since I received it so I want to apply for citizenship via the 5 years eligibility (becasue it looks like less documents are required), not the 3 years marriage. It looks like for the 5 years eligibility tax return transcripts are not required for the application, but will be for the interview. Am I reading that correctly? If so, woohoo....I have everything I need. If not, I'll have to wait another week or so.

When my husband was applying for his citizenship, he got a letter asking for additional documents, and in it was request to submit 3 years of tax transcript among other documents. So, as far as "simplicity" from our experience I would say they're both about same.

wouldn't that be nice !, but highly unlikely..lol...be sure when you update the chart you quote from the most recent version so that you don't accidently delete people and or info...soooo...when you get a chance, can you put me back on the chart...my info is in my signature...i'd do it myself if i thought i could without making a mess...thanks

I didn't even realize it until you pointed it out, oops! That thing is hard to update without messing it up, especially when using phone to update it

OT: I barely slept and checked the status of my package 100 times since this morning. I think I will relax a bit once my package is delivered and check is cashed

Hi everyone! I've been a long time lurker of this forum. I just sent mine. Now that I'm looking at the list of documents many of you have included I'm a bit nervous. I have sent the bare minimum (only our children's birth cert and tax transcript as documents that has both our names), no leases or bank statements :-/ I hope it doesn't get delayed.
