In line only means that the FBI check is done and you are about no more than a month away from your 5 yr anniversary. The interview scheduling will happen after that but that depends on the office where you will be scheduled and how busy they are.

You need to include your current marriage certificate, documents referring to you and your spouse (tax transcript, joint bank statements, joint CC statements etc.), evidence that the US citizen spouse has been a citizen for the last 3 yrs...etc.

Thank you. So they won't RFE just because of Turbotax or HR Block. I didn't send a copy of W2 with the turbotax either. Just printed all forms from Turbotax. And actually I should have sent 2014 and 2015, not 2015 and 2016? Will sending them documents now with copy of NOA work ?

If you have submitted plenty of other evidences of financial co-mingling, this won't be an issue and you may not get an RFE. Not too many applicants get RFEs anyway. In case you do get an RFE, you should have your 2014, 2015 and eventually 2016 tax transcripts in your possession to be submitted.

Very timely topic. My wife's GC expires 5/15/2017. I thought we had to wait until 3 months prior to file the I-751 (You and your spouse must apply together to remove the conditions on your residence by filing Form I-751. You should apply during the 90 days before your second anniversary as a conditional resident.) this from the USCIS site.

She had planned to go back to TH to visit for 6 weeks in April which would a good time frame for both of us. Last time in 2015 she went back for 8 weeks. But I can't see how to work it with the card coming up. Barring I wanted her to go in the summer when I could probably go.

Assuming she applies soon after the 90 day period begins (02/14/2017) for her, she should plan to be in this country for the biometric. Once the biometric is done she can travel out of the country. Make sure she carries the 1-yr extension letter along with the expired or soon to be expired GC with her. VSC is taking almost 1 yr or more these days for the ROC applications. So you are looking at the early part of 2018 for the ROC approval.

Can someone tell me what supporting documentation should I send with my I 90 application to replace my stollen green card?

If you have a copy of the GC (the lost one) you will need to submit it with your I-90. Also, you will need to submit copy of a govt. issued ID - DL, Passport, etc. that contains your name, date of birth, photograph, and signature.

Not sure of that. It was picked up by USPS on the 17th Nov and supposed to be reaching us today.

We received A message yesterday that the GC has been picked up by USPS. Will be arriving on the 19th. We were approved on the 7th. So for us it will be 12 days. I think they are sending it with delivery confirmation. SO someone has to sign for it?

they will update the site with a USPS tracking number so you can track it once it is mailed out.

Our USCIS online tracking status changed today (we were approved on Nov 7):

On November 17, 2016, the Post Office picked up mail containing your new card for Receipt Number WACxxxxxx. We mailed your card to the address you gave us. The tracking number assigned is xxxxxxxxx.

Several may filers like myself had to wait 3 months for biometrics. I wonder if the biometric delay also delays the whole case too

Nope. The biometric has really no effect on how long it takes for them to adjudicate your case. Looks like CSC is taking between 4 to 6 weeks (from NOA1 date) to schedule the biometrics right now. After that you should think about calling USCIS and making an inquiry (service request).

I'm a new member. I'm so happy that I've found people in the same boat. I'm a CSC filler. My date of I-751 is April 18th, 2016. NOA Date 04/21/2016. Biometrics 06/03/16.

I wonder if in case RFE, will they update case status as "REF" online or just simply mail the letter to my address without changing anything online? Will they update online status as "RFE or only update after I submit more evidence? I haven't heard anything and my case status online just stop at "Case was received", I don't know if I need to summit anything more. I'm so worry!

We are about to send our I-751 package next week and we provided monthly statements for the following:

• Rent, trash and utilities (comes as one statement)
• joint checking/savings account
• credit cards
• brokerage accounts
• bills (phone, electricity)

For auto insurance, we provided copies of all renewal statements (every 6 months) and copies of all insurances cards.

Regarding photos - we printed them on a regular paper and labeled them with the trip/event name plus a short description.

Regarding evidences from the beginning of the marriage, we were living abroad while waiting for I-130 to be approved. During that time, we didn't have joint bank accounts (wife used her US bank account), credits cards (wife used US credit card), auto insurance (wife didn't drive) or health insurance (provided by gov.), so the only thing we can provide is our lease agreements and wire transfers from my foreign bank to my wife's bank account.

You could include copies of both driver's license (showing the same address). Life insurance (showing spouse as beneficiary), Will, Advanced Medical Directive (spouse authorized to make medical decisions) etc. are not just good evidence at this stage but a good idea to have in place anyway.

Like you, my spouse was living in India, while she was waiting for the I130 approval. So we could not open a joint account right after marriage. But as soon as she came over we opened a joint bank account and also included her name on my CC. Of course we had to wait until she had her SS # in hand to do this. So although we are married for 3+ years now, we could only include about 1.5 years of financial commingling.

My Green Card was approved Today .... So relieved

Hello, I updated the list here. I cross-referenced it with the google spreadsheet and VJ timeline to provide the more accurate data below:

-There are 43 CSC filers now instead of 33. I used the google spreadsheet as reference: https://docs.google....jtrycs3ul8QlUo/

-There are 2 April CSC filers who updated their approval status at the VJ timeline but not here, so there are actually 14 approved out of 43 applicants with a 33% approval rate.

-There are 6 additional April CSC filers who didn't have their names added to the google spreadsheet nor here but got approved already. The members either mentioned their approval on here or the approval was listed on the VJ timeline. I won't the print their names for privacy concerns. But you can PM me if you are interested in where I got the numbers. The statistics will be: 20 approved out of 49 applicants with a 41 % approval rate including them.

I filed for I-751 jointly with my USC spouse in August with quite good evidence. We were "happily" married them, "happily" because I thought despite of all the problems that we love each other enough to go through them and be stronger...WRONG...my spouse announced me that he hasn't been happy all our marriage and it's time for a divorce.

I want to know what do I need to do? Do I need to let USCIS know now, or wait until I have filed for divorce?( I'm saying me filing for divorce because we got married in my country not here and as far as i know we can't get a divorce here, can we? if yes how?)

Can I still get my 10 year green card if we have a divorce? Problem is my spouse said he won't give me the divorce if I come back. In order for me to get a divorce I need to leave the country otherwise he won't do it? I honestly don't know if I want to come back and stay in the states because he was the only reason I came here in the first place, but how can I get the green card since he won't sign the papers unless I'm out of the country not to ever come back? He knows I came into the marriage in good faith but he's willing to tell USCIS that I didn't in case I come back, because "he can see why I married him now" bacause he asked for divorce. I might sound a little out of place because that's exactly how I am, I honestly don't know where to go from here on.

I am not sure which state you reside in right now. Generally speaking, you can file for divorce (even if your marriage was in another country) in the state of your residence. For example, if you reside in California you can file in California if you have resided there for 6+ months. It is best to check with a local divorce lawyer.

Admittedly, I have not had a chance to scan all 50 pages of this thread...but the last few posts I've read make me feel we are in the same boat. Just realized hubby's "1 year extension" from the NOA1 is coming up in May! Seems so close and still no updates! :-(

However, I wanted to see if anyone has checked their case status on the USCIS site and had the case number not recognized??

I had this happen and it caused a major anxiety attack as when I was checking we were being hassled about the NOA extension letter's validity at Mumbai Airport by clueless check-in counter people. I did manage to speak with someone at VSC while waiting for the airline to approve hubby's travel, and they assured me if I received the letter, that all was well. And that they are just super behind (story of USCIS's life) and that the website not recognizing the case # means it just hasn't been entered into the computer yet. I feel bad for our file sitting quietly on a shelf somewhere. :-(

Do not lose hope. Let's hope that your case is adjudicated by March (12 month wait) long before the May deadline. If you are close to the May 2017 expiration of the NOA1, you can make an infopass appointment and get a I-551 stamp in your passport. Also, you should be able to file N-400 (citizenship) around that time. This will force USCIS to adjudicate your I-751 before they can move on to the N-400 processing.

For checking the status of your application online you should use the second application case # from the biometric letter (bottom right). Although the online status does not change until they actually touch your file.

I am now in the process of removing condition on my residency. I just recently found out that as a permanent resident I cant register to vote and vote. When I got my driver's license 2 years ago they asked me at Motor Vehicle if I want to register to vote even I presented my birth certificate and green card as an identification so I asked if I still can register she said yes..so I went ahead and registered. Last Primary election I went and vote, thinking since they sent me my voter's ID i am eligible to vote. It was just yesterday when I thought of looking up online and found out that what I did was a big mistake. I rushed to my County Clerk's office and cancelled my regiatration. I will go back Friday after the election to get some sort of letter that will confirm that I cancelled my regiatration, history of my voting and copy of my registration form. My question is how this event will affect my on going Removal of Condition Process? And what else can I do? Does anybody here experienced this too? Please help...i'm really freaking out reading the stuff on the internet that my petition could be denied and I could face deportation.

You did the right thing by promptly de-registering yourself from the voter roll. Keep those letters/forms/documents safe. When you apply for Naturalization, of course you will select the right option in the N-400 form in Part 12 where it asks "if you ever registered to vote in any Federal, state, or local elections in the United States?" by selecting YES and then explaining what happened, with an attached cover letter.

Some states and city councils have been drafting legislations allowing LPRs to be able to vote in local elections (definitely not Federal elections). As of last year, New York city I believe wanted to allow LPRs (even illegal aliens) to vote in local elections. I am not sure what happened to that draft resolution. Missouri for sure requires citizenship as a requirement for registering to vote.

Hoping we get it sooner than that though. I really hope for November, I want to apply for a DL as soon as possible.

Also, I just returned to the US a week ago after being a month on vacation. Had no issues at the CBP with the extension letter, I think we were there for max 10 mins. They took my pic, fingerprints, asked if we still live in Hawaii and what are our jobs and that was it.

I thought, the only requirement for DL is proof of legal presence - temporary or permanent. With temporary (which is really not temporary but conditional) GC my wife got a DL that was going to expire the day her GC expires. But after she got the NOA1 the DMV in California extended the DL for another year.

However, now she is working in Ohio and Ohio gave her a DL that will expire in 4 years (this is even before the ROC).

So I am not sure why you cannot apply for a Hawaii DL right now?
