  1. Did my interview today and they gave me a notice of interview results saying:

You have completed your interview. USCIS is unable to complete your case at this time.your case is being continued until a final decision can be made.

Reason for continuance:Your case is being held for review. At this time USCIS does not require any further information or documents from you. Should further information or documents be require you will receive a notice in the mail. We may also schedule you for another appointment at some point. otherwise a final decision will be mailed once your case is complete

I hope we don't get denied.sigh!!!i had some school f1 violations in September 2013 apparently which is the month we got married.argh!!!hope all will be well.now to wait and be at their mercy

  2. If you leave before AP is approved an in your hand, your AOS will be abandoned. They know when people leave the country. A new spousal visa will take a year and cost $1000. You would also be stuck outside the US the whole time.

Your AP will likely be approved in January. Why do you need to leave?

Why do you have to leave before you get your paperwork approved? If you leave without the AP getting approved you may be considered to have abandoned your AOS and have to start all over again. If its not an emergency back home, wait until you get approved Its important.

If you're flying out, your passport gets reported to immigration every time you leave and/or enter the country.

I wouldn't risk leaving until I had the AP in hand. If you leave before its approved, you've abandoned the process and may have to start again.

I got approved on wed 27thdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif i guess they got too lazy to ask for evidence since it was just before the holidays and my 60 days mark was monday dec 2nd and i expedited it on tuesday via the 1800 number under humanitarian reasons since am going for my bro's wedding.I left the country and i will have the doc sent to me via DHL!!!! happy holidaysheart.gifrose.gifluv.gifsleepy.gif

  3. I just got my EAD e-mail as well saying it is in Card Production smile.png Funny how it just jumps from Initial Review to the last and final step, huh?

My I-485 is still in Testing and Interview (we haven't received the letter yet) but frankly my wife doesn't care about that....all that matters to her is that she starts working kicking.gif

Good luck to everyone who hasn't received their EAD yet. Be patient, you will get the e-mail sooner than you know it!

Congrats :-) so did you get an email or any notifications that it was approved?or they just jumped to production?

  4. Any luck with calling?

Niiiiiice. All in just one month. Hopefully you get news soon! Good Luck! biggrin.png

    Woohoo! Congrats! smile.png

I've only read it through VJ. I hope Teamswirly gets hers in the mail soon! I hope it happens to all of us! It doesn't matter if the status is in initial review as long as we got our cards so we can workkkk! Haha

So i called the 1800 number.I got this girl who kept putting me on hold and didnt know **pardon language. She said that i should get my card on the 2nd.Then i asked get it in my hand or approved. She said approved.I was quite skeptical, how did she know the exact date. Then she told me to make an infopass and that i will get.My infopass was a bum, ofcourse the refused if its not an emergency. So i just put in a request to expedite it,and i will fax the wedding invitation letter, our plane tickets and a letter that will make anyone with a heart cry.lol and wish for the best.I mean the worst they can do is say NO.

  5. I think Valigetta was talking about the USCIS website being down. It was under maintainance that time when it was posted. And the Case Status section was down as well.

Thanks, dearie. Yeahhhh, it's the VERY cold weather I'm getting used to. The other night it went as far as -25ºF to -30ºF (or -31.667ºC to 34.44ºC) and I'm from a tropical country! Metro Manila only gets cold during the rainy season up to about -18ºC or 64.4ºF at night! (Though I have experienced -5ºC in Denver 2 years ago.)

I feel you. Right now, my husband's the only breadwinner. I want to help and pay the bills too. Plus this is by far the longest I've been 'unemployed' since leaving Manila. I've been working since I graduated in 2004. Eep.

^Yeah, nothing left to lose! Try to find a job and apply for a service request. smile.png

Try to call and put in a service request. Again, nothing left to lose. Who knows? As far as I know, it won't count against our application. Plus you already have plane tickets booked. But hmm... THIS Friday you say? I don't know if it's going to be delivered overnight...

I dont care about when i get the card,i just want to be approved. As soon as am approved am outta here.lol.....But i will call them tomorow and tell them to expedite the EAD and AP,Hopefully they will do both

  6. @ Iannister08,

I just sent you a PM. My I-485 is based on marriage. She is working, but honestly the way I looked at is was that I had nothing to lose in trying.

I called in and put in the service request and the next day it was in production. Could have just been the timing (60 days), but hey it worked for me!

Did they only do the EAD? or also the AP,I need my AP by friday for my brothers wedding. This waiting really sucks,I did my biometrics a month ago,ARGHH!

  7. I don't understand why they are so restrictive with the applications but they loose so many documents..

I am still "testing and interview" since last wednesday, nothing in the mail yet. The other applications, still under initial review.

Well you sent everything fast, so hopefully they will be fast as well!

Am still waiting for my letters for the interview too since 10/31!!!!!!!.I really need my AP,I have booked a trip to my bro's wedding and it is a week away crying.gifcray5ol.gifcray5ol.gif Hate this

  8. Hi fellow VJ'ers,

Need some help to think this through, perhaps someone else has dealt with a similar situation before.

My AOS is pending, just got updated to "Testing and Interview". Its been clear sailing, no RFE's, just waiting to hear when my interview date is. In the meantime, it looks like the EAD/AP card should come around the first week of September - which is when my sister is getting married in Canada.

Has anyone tried travelling with the email EAD/AP approval and not the actual card? If I had the confirmation email/letter, but not yet the card in hand, what are my chances of using that to return (travelling by car)?

    Ideas, thoughts?

    Thanks

After how long did you get your interview letter and when is your appointment. My bros wedding is in dec 7th and my I-485 in under testing and interview, all the rest under initial review.I have already paid for my tickets. This really sucks,so tempted to leave without the AP.Hopefully i will be approved before then.

  9. I just wanted to tell you that I tried to expedite my AP application thru infopass and the officer was extremely rude and impatient. He turned me down because "your mother is only in the hospital and had a surgery, she is not dying"...I was like #######. So it's probably not a good idea to do infopass unless some immediate relative is really dying or just died I think.

then I called the 800 number this afternoon, the agent was so nice and helpful. He submitted a request to expedite my AP and I just got an email an hour ago saying that I need to fax them evidence that my mom needs me. So I am going to do that tomorrow.

btw how was your expedition experience?

The immigration officer was very nice.he told me he couldn't help me since my dad is not dying.I did call the 800 number and the lady offered to expedite but I really don't have evidence from the hospital so I guess I will keep waiting to be approved as soon as I aAm I will be outta here and will send a friend to Dhl the ap doc to me
