So my wife had her citizenship interview today. She passed everything but instead of leaving with a sheet of paper that said approved, she left with one that said ‘a decision cannot be made at this time’. Why? Because her freaking I-751 is still waiting to be approved! We filed in Oct of 2017. No RFE's. Her 18 month extension letter expired in July. Last month her case got transferred from Minnesota to Missouri. No idea why. This is soooooo frustrating....
Wow, that seems so bureaucratic it hurts. I guess there technically could be a reason that a denied I-751 would mean N-400 denial though.
Best of luck waiting for the I-751 and N-400 approval!

I'm really hoping! 😄

South Dakota applicant here, interview scheduled in Sioux Falls 23rd of October. I talked to the officer when I had my finger prints done and he mentioned they were setting up an interview office in Sioux Falls, so I guess it's open now! Has anyone else been to the 101 Reid St office?
Woohoo! Progress 🙂

Our 10 year Green Card renewal (I-751) just got transferred to another office about a week ago. We've been waiting 22 months for that one so far.
Thanks for this feedback! Fingers crossed.
And good luck on the i-751!

Are there any South Dakotans on here? Does anyone know if SD is flowing about the same, slower or faster than average?
Thanks guys!

Does anyone know whether a Western South Dakotan would be eligible for same day oath? Where could one find out this information?

Filed November 14th - estimated 22 months process. Uggh! I guess I got lucky with one of the slowest field offices there is - Minneapolis I believe?
I am attempting a biometrics walk-in on Monday in Rapid City SD as I'll be there anyway - we'll see how that goes!

I was at the Minnesota field office, but they transferred All of SD to the Nebraska office as of the end of August. My interview was then scheduled in Sioux Falls, on the 23rd October. (Applied Nov 14th 2018)
My interview was at 940am, but actually started around 10. The office seemed to be not very busy.
The officer asked me the 6 questions, who's President, one war in 1900's, Federalist papers Author, founding father, and two other easy ones.
He was thorough in going through my application, mixed up some dates on purpose to see if I was concentrating (and not just saying yes sir to everything). After about 20 min, he recommended me for approval.
The next morning I got confirmation of a approval online!!!
I'm hoping the ceremony is soon!
Thanks all for the experiences shared on here, it definitely made it easier to wait knowing what others are going through too.
