(Joe) My wife filed for the AOS on May 2014 and got her EAD, we did renewal last May 2015 and got her EAD again, then in July 8th got a notice that a Welcome letter was sent to her and her Green Card is on production. We didn't contact USCIS but waited patiently.
We had the intention to contact USCIS until one year after the Interview Waiver Letter date (September) if in case that nothing happened, but it seems that was not necessary.
I was afraid of the dreaded new Medical Examination (including my stepson) as an RFE because it was made in January 2013 and shots weren't done because she was pregnant at that time, but they didn't ask them. I can finally breath.
Regards.

My timeline was similar. Pregnant during K-1 process, no expedite allowed despite multiple letters, but Medical approved, and Visa granted in February. However, the doctor in Vietnam said she couldn't fly. There was no way I was going to allow my daughter to be born in Vietnam, so I had some top OB specialists write a letter to the Consulate and the airline. She was only about 34 weeks so they realized the Vietnamese doctor was wrong and they let my fiance' fly over. Baby was born 6 or 7 weeks later in the USA thank goodness. The rest as they say is history because it only went downhill from there. Baby is happy, healthy, and smart as a whip. Good luck!
Most Asian airlines doesn't allow pregnant women later than 36 weeks, I believe European airlines are lots more strict. That's in opposite with the US based airlines which practically don't have restrictions.

My wife was pregnant while waiting K-1 visa, she got approved by the end of January after applying for it on September then she flew to US on February and baby was born in March.
Expedited? No, simply we were lucky as I wish the same to you.
Regards.

In all the path we experienced and still doing so we learned that is not the quantity or variety of evidence but the coherence of them along with the questions that are being made in the interview.
It is, however, very acceptable and good all the evidence in large quantities if you consider so, some CO will review them while others no.

Operated by British Airways 10h 40m Take-off Tue 2:30p LHR London, ENG, United Kingdom Landing Tue 5:10p PHX Phoenix, AZThe POE is the first place you touch down on US soil. There is no pre-clearance in London, so it will/can not be your POE. I also doubt that there is a direct, non-stop London to Phoenix flight. It goes from London to some major city in the US (New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, etc) -- wherever it stops first, that's your POE. That's where you need to be sure you have sufficient time to clear immigration and customs, reclaim your luggage and get it to the place to get put on your last leg of the trip to Phoenix. In most airports, that's at least 2 to 3 hours. Good luck!
Direct Flight, the source is Kayak... However way too expensive.

Its USD1 million actually for an IR5, or USD500,000 if in high-unemployment/rural area.
Thanks by the correction!!

He wanted to visit me and family, but he doesn't have strong background (not that strong of income, bank balance etc)
I have heard that you can have some business in US, and as a special expertise, you can bring someone here in US to work. I might have heard wrong, but that is why I am making sure here.
Let's say, someone is teaching YOGA in India, and you open up business here in US, and you need to bring that person as teacher, you can put file for that. is that correct? Does it seem so complex to be able to explain to lawyer rather than herE?
Sorry if I am not clear. please feel free to ask any questions you have.
To get a tourist visa he must demonstrate that he has strong ties with his home country, if he doesn't show proof of it his visa will be denied because he must demonstrate that he is NOT an immigrant but a visitor.
Yes, intending to put a business in the US would give him the access to the country, but by that he must show proof that he has enough money to put a business as for his own living, besides promising that he will hire American employees. If I can recall minimum to put business and get residence must be around $100,000 dollars (if I am mistaken could someone correct it?).
Good luck! My regards...

you have done illegal activity since you were there on student visa and got married that means your cousin is also willing to do this !!
By law all immigrant and non immigrant, entered with visa or no, even undocumented, have right to marry an USC as long as there's no impediments that can affect marriage by both sides.
Thus, a foreign student in US LEGALLY got married.

To everyone being ignorant,
MY BROTHER IN LAW, is part of my family. First time EVER I have encountered such disrespect in this forum. WOOOOWW!!! People come for support here, not criticism. HOW DARE YOU!! Why don't you ask first before passing judgement, and then you would learn that he used his OWN middle name and second last name. No one's identity was stolen here. You guys are a bunch of horrible people with sour lives who have no place here. His deportation order was not enforced. It was more of a formality than anything else. He was allowed to stay and not told when he needed to leave.
Thank you to Hypno, A&B, and Boiler for your input and support.
Only positive and helpful replies will be accepted. You will be reported to the moderator for disrespectful and uncalled for comments. Thank you.
I have seen many people who have come for help ganged up on by ignorance and stupidity. This forum helped me so much when I was doing my husband's paper work. Not one disrespectful comment. Now, I am seeing this behavior waaaaaaay to much here. NOT OK. Eventually people will move to another site to get the help, suppport, both emotional and legal, that they need.
Why do this? Why hurt someone else who is only looking for ways to do what they have to do??? Most people come here at 18 and do stupid things. Most americans, born and raised here, from different cultures and backgrounds, also do stupid things and later have to pay for it. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes we all know this. So, no, people don't come on here to behave as substitute parents to scold and tell people off. SUPPORT SUPPORT SUPPORT. Opinions are great, but we do NOT come here to hear your OPINION.
Some time ago I shared our experience in certain forum, as response I have been critized even being accused by someone know it all affirming that supposedly I was pretending to be somebody I wasn't.
Supposedly Visa Journey is to seek advice and/or sharing in immigration issues...but unfortunately there's so much criticism.
Since that sad experience I had I am limiting only in answer shortly some questions from some users.
Good luck and I wish the best to you.

When you go to biometrics make sure take your marriage certificate with you if in your passport still has maiden name.
My wife had problems with that in the USCIS until she showed her marriage certificate. Had to make biometrics on the next day after scheduled appointment.
-
Im doing that right now.
Is that the return or account transcript?
That's the return transcript, each year is one and that's the one you have to send.
-
1. Don't send tax return copies, because it is clumsy with many forms and USCIS can misplace those forms. And they will ask again in a RFE. Order tax transcript of 2013 to save a lot of hassle. Only most recent tax transcript is needed, older transcripts are optional.
USCIS widely accept copies of tax returns that have been ordered directly in the website of the IRS (either online or request to send by post mall), it includes all the information required even from the W-2. Don't send W-2 or copies of your tax returns that you filed otherwise you will get RFE.
Regards.

Also, when it asked for the port of entry I was given the choice of Detroit, Detroit Tunnel, or Detroit Bridge. I cannot remember if I entered through the tunnel or the bridge since I have crossed that border hundreds of times. I called USCIS and they told me to call the bridge and tunnel customs. I called and the customs officer said they could not release that information to me. The customs officer told me just to put Detroit on the form. Is that okay? I never thought changing my address would be so complicated.
Thanks,
Caroline
Port of Entry means the city where you entered recently to the US, it doesn't matter if it was by bridge, tunnel or airport.
Regards.

That's would be good idea but not extremely necessary, it's simply a plus to support your true relationship.
As long as you and your wife have same address in the US even you're working as contractor in Afghanistan separated from her and also having proofs like wedding pictures, shared bank accounts statements or properties in name of you both being separated won't be red flag because you're being contractor in other country and that's your job.
If your wife and you lived in different states with different addresses by no reason then that would be a red flag.
Hope it helps. Regards.

Well our case was also transferred to Nebraska... But appointment letters for biometric arrived recently from Kansas City (We sent our AOS on May 14)...

As Belinda63 mentioned, you can request a check from the company that issued the credit card. It has nothing to do with checking account.
-
Your husband can request a check in the bank that can be charged to his credit card and send it to USCIS. Hope it helps.

Hello Mirhen
If I am not mistaken Tennessee and Missouri (my home) are about the same so I will be totally honest with you if I may.
HS Diploma gives you certain advantage if you live outside Memphis because you could get easily a job fast....but also you could lose a job that quickly, forget for now in getting a permanent job since most companies will hire mostly as temporary through "employment agencies" (Kelly's, Focus Staffing, Aerotek) to work in manufacturing or shipping factories where the language doesn't matter at all but only the basic.
Maybe, with luck, some company will look and hire you as permanent with very good benefits.
That's true that Spanish plays an important part in the US but unless is required having English is enough to get a job, people don't care if you speak other languages as long you know English.
Make sure get your EAD (Work Authorization) when applying for green card to be able to work.
Hope it helps....my regards

My Package received on 12th, still no update at all. I called them, but no one knows anything, not even able to giving conformation of receiving of documents.
Just got text announcing acceptation of application today yay!!

I got married on March 10 and next day I included her in my insurance...11 days later she delivered our child.
I had no problems and my insurance covered around 75% of the medical expenses.
Just make sure your wife has SSN because the insurance will require it.

We mailed and have signature they received on May 9th.......still nothing The check has not cleared my account,. no text, no e-mail, nothing in system. Very frustrating......
Same here....sent package last May 12th, check didn't cash and no notifications yet..... grrrr!

Do not get more answers anymore or you will be more confused. Do your own research or call to the US Embassy....even myself I wouldn't give you a definitive answer.

Hi,
You were lucky enough in getting a $18.00 per hour job, you should take it since most of the people are working under $10 per hour.

I-751 April 2017 Filers
in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
Posted
Hey everyone,
I am the USC as my wife is actually the petitioner. I have been absent from the forums for almost two years as we focused in every day lives, but just wanted to comment here, same with you as an April 2017 filer, that we both are grateful for your help in this site and in particular this topic. Even that I didn't write nothing but I read most of the replies.
My wife finally was approved last August 27th to get the 10 years green card, all the complete process lasted 5 years from our first meeting to now, with two blessed children during the road. We were lucky in no getting interview or RFE.
Thanks guys. I really appreciate what you are doing in the forums and hopefully you keep doing the same, and for those who don't know nothing yet about your ROCs, don't desperate, soon you'll get great news!
