  1. Hi everyone! Just looking for a little help. I am getting ready to fill the I-864 out. My wife and I will both be the sponsors for our two children a 16 and a13 year old. My question. Is which form do I use for joint sponsors and do I need to fill one out for each child or can they use the same one?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Hi, I'm sure this is in the wrong category but, here's my question. I am petitioning for my stepchildren, my wife got here in July of this month and we now want to bring them. Do they have to wait for visa to become available or will it be like applying for a spouse? Hope that makes sense, I know what I'm trying to say, just not finding the words. Anyway they are 15 years old and 13 years old.

Does anyone know the answer to that?

  3. Hi everybody and to all VJ member!! I feel so great and I would like to thank you Hank, Apple 21 and Greenbaum who gave me advice to get passport for my child while im here in philippines,, finally we will recieved the passport for my child this coming January 29, 2014. Me and my hubby still waiting for my case number from NVC to complete the processing our papers, i know once we recieve our case number from NVC this is the time we will become busy (and no time to get all the paper for my child needs). And this is my question "what more papers or document that i need to get for my child, except passport ? Do I need to get DSWD certificate to allowing them to live america with me,? ( because i want to accomplish all the papers for my child before we recieved the the case number from NVC. In order once i get there in America i want to bring with me all the documents because for my first day in america we will apply for them also I130 to follow me, (both they are minor), pls anyone can give me advice to this kind of problem, "help me" my pleasure to read all reply! Thank you in advance!!

  6. Apple 21 do you think it will be good if i will apply for them passport before i leave philippines? even theire BC is written there that i was married to theire biological father? Before i asked to the department of forein affair about this and they said ,,they can issue the passport for them but they cannot do anything about theire BC, just they will follow all what's the written to theire BC!! So i was worried it might be complicated when we start to apply for them a visa !!! thank you for your early advice, im so much appreciate it! :)

  7. Thanks Hank! That's what I thought too. We did talk with attorney, and he filled us with a load of ####### about needing to spend 300,00 just to make notation on birth certificate. I think we will go with it like you said she has full custody so shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks again, we appreciate the help!

  8. Hi to all member of VJ!! I write this letter for everyone who can give me advice ,i do really need you to give me idea what we can do for our problem. I got married with my American Husband last April 12,2013 and my husband he filled I130 which is spouse visa and we got approved last December 17 (NOA2) , i have 2 kids from my past and we have plan to take them after i go to America but the birth certificate of my kids it was written there that I was married to their father (Pilipino) which is not true. My question is What can be done to fix it before i go to America! There's anyone have done this before pls help me im so much appreciate it! Thank you in advance!

  9. Hi all, let me start by saying congratulations to those approved, we just got approved today! I'm not sure how it goes from here so if anyone could point me in a direction to a thread to get me started it would be appreciated greatly. I know I need to fill out a ds260 but not sure if I start with that or if there is something I need to do first. Again we greatly appreciate the help!

  10. Hi im I-130 petitioner from my husband! I been in Qatar for 5years! Yes its easy to get police clearance from there and she really need that! 10 days before she leave qatar she should go to the Criminals Evidences & Information, and the payment is only 10 Qatar Rial from her ATM Card! She need to bring her copy of her passport and the resident visa card (vitaka) then after the police will tell her to comeback after one week to release the police clearance cert.

  11. So today I found out that not even the immigration officers at the port of entries know how the laws work and they suppose to enforce them. I asked USCIS about k-3 and she told me that since I'm married I can't do that cause it's for fiance however, I should call my local immigration office and check with them. I did this and was told since I live only an hour from Canadian border I should talk with port of entry. The port of entry officer informed me that no matter what each and everyone that enters the US after filing an I-130 has to file the I-129f nobody can come here with just an I-130 that is only a petition and never goes to the NVC........ None of these people no what the laws are or how they work.

So I went ahead and just filed the I129f.....
