  1. Is there anyone who can give me a bit of direction on this? The checklist tells you to bring "The appointment letter showing the date and time of your interview", and I'm just not sure what exactly I'm supposed to print out.

  2. Hello! I am a bit confused about what I am supposed to show for the appointment letter. My appointment is at the Montreal Consulate and so I had to schedule the appointment myself online. Am I supposed to print out the packet 4 letter and the appointment confirmation together and used that as a sort of appointment letter?

    Thanks!

  3. Hello! So far the process is flying by - my fiancé and I sent our petition at the end of December and my Visa appointment is booked for April 20th at Montreal! I'm excited, but I can't help fretting about the documentation. Does anyone have recommendations for how to organize your files (i.e. what is the order of files that are asked for at security, in the consulate, at the interview, etc.)

I have the following, am I missing anything?

    -DS-160 confirmation page

-The instructions page that I received when I scheduled my interview

-The copy of the approved I-29F form that they sent me with packet 3

-My passport with a photocopy of the biographical info page

-My long-form birth certificate and a photocopy

-My police criminal record check from my local police (the writing on this is quite light and I am having trouble photocopying it.)

-A photocopy of my fiancé's birth certificate and passport biographical info page (but not the original)

-Photographs of our relationship and plane tickets

-Letter of intent to marry and photocopy

    -I-134 original and photocopy

-My fiancé's electronic bank statements and tax return

-A copy of my fiancé's NSF fellowship letter (which is his source of income as a PhD. candidate)

-A copy of my fiancé's funds in stocks

-Passport style photographs (I got six of these since they ask for some at the medical too)

-A copy of NOA2 and the letter from the NVC. (My fiancé still has the originals)

I don't have the medical documents yet since my medical isn't until April 8th. Am I missing anything else? I really don't want a RFE!

  4. Hi! I am a Canadian considering work in the USA and I have some beginner questions that I'm hoping someone can help me with.

I have a B Sc. in microbiology and am hoping to find work in the states for personal reasons. As I begin my job search, I'm curious about how my job title will affect my eligibility for TN status. Does it need to exactly match those on the list of NAFTA professionals? For example, would a job offer as a "Microbiologist" qualify me for entrance as a "Biologist"? What about something like "Lab technician" or "Research Assistant"? Perhaps these would instead fall under the category of "Scientific technician/technologist"? Essentially, I am wondering about what criteria a NAFTA profession is evaluated under.

I appreciate any help or guidance you can give me.
