  1. Thank you so much for the response and suggestion! I'll definitely secure a document.

Better to be over prepared than be asked to come back...

    Thanks again...

I'll give them my widest smile during the process, and a spiffy looking one if ever i'll be issued the sticker and certificate with no hassle... LOL. biggrin.png

  2. You're CFO review is awesome! quite comprehensive pointers and guide. I'll attend the CFO seminar on Monday. this is really helpful. Time to celebrate! Best wishes...

I have some questions though, I'm 24 yrs. old, do i still need parental advice? however, I will not be able to obtain that because my father is deceased and my mother is in the US.

And regarding with the question in the CFO form where nearest family relative's info is asked, my nearest family relative here is only my auntie so I placed her details on the form. My only brother is also in the US, I'm the only one left here, do you think i'll have a problem?

Can somebody ease my worries please... :)

  3. Congrats!!! Thank you for the information you also posted, if its not for that I might have just waited for USEM updates which is so not reliable... Visa approved yesterday, very thankful too for all the VJ's here.

  4. Hi guys. I have the same situation as you guys. Aug 19 canceled, then Aug 23 too late to appear for the interview because i live in iloilo. Im gonna try to appear for the Aug 29 interview and give it a shot.

Gonna have to buy the ticket today then fly to manila later tonight. I really hope this pays off. If not, then atleast i tried, better just wait for the next interview schedule LOL

Any additional info would be extremely helpful...

I was scheduled on the 26th, took my chance today and got APPROVED!!! weeeeeeeee.... there were few applicants, the process was really smooth and both the Filipino Screener and American Consul were really nice... I was done by 9am... :)

-those who have there schedule on the date entered first and those of us who had there prior schedule cancelled were asked to wait. I got abit nervous that they wouldn't consider us. but after a few while, they let us all in...

  5. Jayann & Jay: Congratulations! We got approved today, too! Good luck, J-heart and others. There are bound to be many others to log on here later. Don't give up.

Congrats and Thank you so much for the encoureagement it really helps a lot... ;)

  6. hi dont even wait just go tomorrow. my fiance just got APPROVED! lesson learned any cancellations JUST TAKE A CHANCE!

    Congratulations! that's awesome!

I've decided to try tomorrow. hope they would also accomodate me even if my original schedule was 26 and only will take my chance because i still arranged stuff at my office. gotta go to Manila now. 4 hours transportation in a bus is a draggg!!! praying that everything will be great tomorrow even if i have to hurdle long hours just to be interviewed.

Hope everyone will also be successful. Thank youso much for the updates.

  7. Thank you so much. Kindly please give an update for tomorrow...

I am very disappointed to the management of USEM. I don't get why they inform people that they would post an announcement today. Ofcourse we will expect something from them. You're very right, I have also read that they give clear instructions to the non-immigrant applicants, which is plain injustice. They could at least be fair or yeah, Just post an instruction already! or at least give a reason why they could not give us a definitive schedule.

Those who have been rescheduling for several times, i think, during the typhoon should be mostly given priority. I myself have been chasing the clocks because if ever given the visa, my fiance needed me to get here soon before his assignement to another state. grrrrr... So I really sympathize especially those who have been experiencing much delay.

Why can't they open even just 1 saturday to cater and move forward with the original schedules to compensate the delays? just wondering. Some gov't agencies do that. but rarely. DFA in our city does that. And I think that is what you call public service. I know it is US Embassy, so more likely they would prioritize US Citizens. However, maybe I just expected more from there administration. Just feeling down. Oh well... Let's hope and pray for the best. Hope your plans for tomorrow would go through... Good luck...

  8. Hi. New here. Really needed someone's guidance regarding interview re-scheduling. This in in fact undeniably depressing. I and my fiance were anticipating for this interview day as everyone of us do here, only to be notified that it has been cancelled.

After reading that some people who failed to be intructed that today's interview was postponed, I really felt my blood rushing high up to my brain! like seriously?!! to add to that they clearly posted on there website that they will give an announcement. (i just repeated what everyone said) this is foolishness.

Have any other plans or idea for us to go through this? I'm also not from Manila. I stayed in a hotel yesterday, waited for the announcement 'till my check-out, went home to the province because I have work tomorrow. this is such a hassle. What would be the best choice for us to lessen the delay? or just wait for another equivocal announcement from USEM?

    Replies would be much appreciated...
