  1. I went through my stuff and just saw that i did not submit the orignial birth certificate before, only the certified translated one. so i send a copy of my original one and i should be good right? Theres a stamp on it from the German Courthouse and the ladys signature, thats enoguh right? Or do i have to go to some place so i can have someone sign of on it to be notarized?

i just read some stuff about it. so i take my original and a copy of it to a bank and they notarize it right? sorry about all those questions, just dont want to make a mistake on a RFE.

  2. Did you include a noterized copy of the original document in German or just the translated copy. It sounds like they only got the translation and they need a notarized copy of the original document

  3. I just got my RFE today saying

    - You have submitted an English translation of a foreign birth certificate; please submit a copy of the applicant's foreign birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority.

    - See the Department of State's Foreign Affairs Manual found online at http://www.state.gov/ for more information on foreign birth records for people born outside the United States

Does this just mean they need a copy of my German birth certificate? Or do they want something else? I am applying for the GC, so i am the applicant right?

Sorry, just scared to do something wrong.

  4. Your timeline says you are not adjusting status from a K1, but another visa. What visa is that? Most in this forum are K1s and about half don't have to interview. It is random who does and who doesn't. You will have an interview if not a K1 visa.

An RFE is like hitting the pause button on your case until you respond, so yes a delay for that amount of time.

A Travel/Tourist Visa. I didn't know where else to post my Question. Oh gosh, now i have to wait till letter gets here, which is probably 1 or 2 weeks, what i read in most cases. :( I just hope it is nothing big so i can just send it back right away. And still scared, that i cant do it in this Timeframe. If its a RFE for I-485, my I-765 is still being processed or? Sorry just really nervous at the moment, because i thought i had everything together in order :/

  5. I did my biometrics on the 10th of September, today i checked my online case and now it says Request for Evidence and that they mailed me a letter on the 11th of September. Can someone tell me what experience they had, if it delayed the process. Could it be that something is wrong with my biometrics, since its so short after taking them. I am just worried, havent received a letter yet and read in other Forums that it could take up to a week or 2 to receive them.

  6. I also filed in August. Just got my biometrics appointment for 09/10 at 10 am. So happy. wish everyone good luck as well
