  1. Hi all,

I'm new to the forum. I tried to read most of the topics before posting but couldn't find a real answer and I'm still confused.

    Here is my situation:

I met my husband when he was stationed with the army in Italy. We got married December 2011 and filed for a visa in September 2012. (CR1) I got the visa in December 2012 and we moved to the States in March 2013 and got my green card the same month. His army contract expired in April 2013 so he is tecnically an Afghanistan veteran and conseguently joined the National Guard ( since he does the weekend warrior drill I think he is considered inactive).

Now my CR1 visa expires in March 2015, I have to apply 90 days prior to remove my condition but in December 2014 it will be 3 years of marriage.

    The questions are:

Can I apply for citizenship in December 2014 since it's been 3 years of marriage?

Will it be ok if the green card espires in the meantime, if I applied for citizenship?

I read about expediting for military, does this apply to my case in any shape or form?

Thank you for reading and for any advice.
