  1. I am so sorry to hear about your experience! I too just posted another discouraging situation in my own embassy drama. We too got a possible revocation and The thought that relationship is for Hubby's immigration.

I am not sure if you do have a lawyer. I can tell you that in my case I was advised to dissect the interview just prior to the denial. Then to gather proof first of your relationship, and then proof to refute their findings or suspicions. Many people are sent for review, I did not realize this before our interview. And many return back to the embassy once you provide the evidence needed.

I am so sorry you're experiencing this stress, you're married almost 5 years - you must be so devestated. You will get through this, my heart goes out to you. I would find a lawyer that deals specifically with denials/revocation for immigration and nothing else, someone who belongs to AILA.

    Take Care.

    Thanks much for the info

  2. I filed I-130 back in November of 2005, My husband's interview wasn't schedule until August 28th 2007. He was told during his interview that he did not have enough proof to validate the relationship . He was then placed on AP(Administrative Processing) for short ...they need to investigate more .....now here's the continued wait once again....Now in April of 2008 and investigator had gone to his Mother's house where he lives, but was not around at that time, However his Mom and sister in-law were there . After all the question the officer left and said he would return at another time. It was now March of 09 and no officer had ever returned to his home. I had traveld back to Nigeria to inquire about the case. I was told that my husband was scheduled for and interview back on January 15th.....anyway he was rescheduled for May 4th......And would you believe there dedcision was made before he even entered the room to be interview. It was not really and interview according to my husband. He was told that I have another man here in my home. As God as my witness there no other man then my children. He was also given a letter that stated that the paper work was returned to the Dept Of Homeland Security for possible revocation....Reasons to believe that our relationship is for immigration reasons only. I'm not really sure where to go from here. :help:

Thanks in advance for all your help.

  4. My Husband had his interview In Nigeria . After the interviewer asked all the questions like how did we meet. How many children does your wife have and so forth...Then He looked over our wedding pictures and other pics I had taken while there in Nigeria. After all that he told my husband that he could not give him the Visa now that he would need to do a further investigation(Admin Review). He kept pics and had my Husband fill out some type of information form that would provide contact numbers and so forth. He also gave my husband a form that explained what was going on and then told him that he would be called or e-amiled when to return to the embassy. The form given he would need to present at the time of interview. I'm still a bit confused. If anyone has gone through the same thing. or going through it now please help me out. I would like to know How long did it take and if you were approved or not. Thanx in advance for your help.

  8. hello all. i am new to this website. I think this is just what I needed. I must admit that I am both a little discouraged and excited. I've only been married to my husban since 4-20 this year, and I havent mailed off 1 single thing!

It's a money thing with me! I am waiting on my husband to wire me the money for the forms. Can somebody fill me in? Which form do I file first, I-129f, OR THE I-130?

At this point, I dont really have anything to add to a timeline. Those are soooooo inspirational. Some of u have really decent time frames going on here, some people I hear have to wait a year and more on their loved oned to get here.

I kinda need yall, right now. I am so stressed out, and I am just starting out, technically, I haven't started anything untill this weekend. How do you all make it??!! :crying::crying: i know I have at least 6 months ahead

which form first? can someone enlighten me?

    thanks so much!!!

First off Congratulations on your marriage.

The first thing you will send off is the I130, :guides: to get all you will need.

    Congratulations!!!

Yes this is true I-130 filed first , but if you would like to possibly see your husband as soon as six months from now please file the I-129 immediately following the I-130. I have a friend who has already gone through this process. Her husband is now here in the states after only a little under 6 months. I say this with urgency due to the fact that I personaly regret waiting to long to process my I-129 form. Only after 25 days after filing the I-130 it was approved and because of that I could not file the I -129.My Husband is presently in Nigeria while I'm here in the states :crying: I hope this information could be of some help. I could connect you with my friend who I know will be of great help to you concerning this matter.

  9. My wife has her AP in hand and would like to visit her home country for a couple months. Can we purchase a one way ticket for her trip home and then purchase another ticket for her trip back to the US? We want to do this as we don't know when the return date will be so it's easier for the one ways. Thank you.

I have a friend who travels from London to the USA often and at times is not sure when he would like to return back to London. So for that reason he purchase an open end airline ticket. which means he can travel back to London when he likes. I'm not exactly sure how much time is given to leave the ticket open. I also believe that this type of ticket would cost you more money then a standard ticket. Call your airline carrier and ask about there open end tickets.

    Safe travels to your wife

  10. CONGRATULATIONS! That's Great News

    Hi...

Today I have my last day off until I got visit my dear husband in the UK for our wedding reception. I am running around this house, trying to clean up and get organized before I leave on Monday. Between now and then, I am working like a dog...

I check my e-mail and, nearly fell to my knees. I message from CRIS, telling me that we have been approved. I know we have a long way to go yet, but the first leg is over. First thing I did was call my sweetheart and tell him. I could hardly get my fingers on the number keys !!

2 years of waiting is finally coming to an end.

    Thank God !

I need to update my timeline !!!!

    Then, I need a drink.

The housework can wait. : )
