  1. so its ok if i don't change my middle name?

you did not try to correct your middle name on your green card?

thank you for your story.. :)

I want to share my experience with regards to middle name...

When I got my ssa before marriage I used my maiden name...say my maiden name is Macy Jo Sy...when I got married and filed my aos, I used my husband's last name pope as my last name so it is pope, first name Macy and middle name sy...I received my ead/ap with pope, Macy S....went to ssa to change my name from Macy Jo sy to Macy sy pope...fine.

I paid for the cgfns services last May 6, so all my forms are Macy sy pope...I received my greencard last May 15...the name appearing on the greencard is pope, Macy j...oh my I almost have a heart attack (just kidding) to see pope, Macy j...so I had to email cgfns for a change of middle name from s to j...and also I have to go to ssa for the change of middle name from s to j to follow the name on the greencard.

A friend told me that her middle name on her greencard is her middle name before marriage ...I also read another friend
Used her middle name before marriage as her middle name when she filed for aos.

Now I wish I use my middle name when I was single as my middle name when I filed for aos.

So that's the story of my middle name.

  2. What sort of mistake?

Ie did you miss-spell it, or are you just not using your middle name anymore and don't want it on your greencard, or...?

lets say my name when i was single is Alpha (first name) Beta (middle name) Capa (last name).... now that im married my name should be Alpha (first name) Capa (middle name) Delta (my husband last name). on my AOS application i put my name Alpha (first name) Beta (which is my middle name when i was single) Delta. I made a mistake with the Beta part. Because i was so used to using my middle name when i was single.

  3. just book your interview appointment.. maybe reschedule the appointment if there is a cancellation or an earlier slot

for the extension of your NOA2 approval, you don't need to do anything about it. the embassy will automatically extend that.

my NOA2 is valid until December 31, 2013 but y interview is January 21st 2014..

    Good luck to u!

  5. Has anyone been successful in getting a Singapore Police back ground check? My Fiance' lived in Singapore for over two years. I hear the US Embassy in Manila will require one? When we went to the Singapore website given to us by the Singapore Embassy in Manila, the website says for Singaporians only? My Fiance is Filipino? We are on a roll and do not want to be slowed down...lol Thanks?
