  1. I agree with M&G,

You should definately not plan for 5 months. I just got my 129F approved in three months, and that was very fast when compared to others here. So the back part of this I'm expecting to take 3 months plus some time to book travel to the US. I think it would be agreesive to plan an 8 month timeline, and conservative to plan a 12-15 month time line. I know, you don't like to hear this, but you should manage your expectation now. But it really depends on your situation (ie. proof of relationship, proper paperwork, any issue in prior visas, etc).

    Good luck

  2. I feel very lucky.... I mailed my 129F on May 24, they received it May 29, and NOA was June 3 (at Vermont). Then I was transferred to Texas on Aug 6, and just got approval last night. All in 3 months! We have a lawyer pull the packet together and send to the processing center, but I'm not sure that had anything to do with it. Everything in our case was pretty clear-cut I.E. plenty of proof of several visits, photos, and all required certificates.

Good luck... it appear if you get transferred to Texas, most people here seem to be approved within 21-28 days after this transfer.

  3. My first post after reading through this site carefully to assure I am not wasting time/hopes. But this place definitely passes the sniff test as everyone here seems to be very supportive and knowledgeable.

I guess I have to start like everyone else, and that is with getting some confirming some of observations.

My gut is telling me I may be getting very lucky in the fact that my case was transferred from Vermont to TSC only after 63 days (NOA1 June 3, 2013), as I see many of these poor souls only being transferred after 5-6 months later. But then I notice many that were transferred to TSC were approved in 19-26 days following the transfer notice. Is it fairly safe to assume mine would follow suite and I could actually see an NOA2 inside three months?? Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but obviously like everyone else here, I have high hopes. We have also engaged a lawyer (In Hine site, maybe a waste of $2K), but he indicates our case should easily be approved as all the credentials are there and there is no questionable items.

Wishful thinking? I think my bigger problem will be once the NVC packet arrives in China and trying to get an appointment? I don’t like the postings where is see some ####### about a “gang of 6” in QQ, i.e. another Chinese ploy to shake you down for some money?
