my wife's interview was November 2015

i had to wait 5 1/2 months from when case was Completed at NVC to my wife's interview date. NVC should notify you 4 weeks before interview date so your wife will have time to get her medical exam.

Any update on the DNA Result? i have already past the 6 weeks waiting period and was told Someone from the U.S Citizen service will be contacting my wife to schedule a date to come back to the Embassy. The DNA Result arrived back at the Embassy 3 weeks after swab test, this is such a long process.

i am going through the same DNA process of getting my son Consular report of birth abroad & passport in Cambodia. i had the DNA test kit mailed to Phnom Penh since July 2015 and finally received an appointment for November 13th. i did not expect to wait that long for appointment, but after lots of patience and e-mailing the embassy each month, we received an appointment date. do you know how long for the U.S Embassy to get result back from the lab? good luck to you!

you should have had a "Certificate of Naturalization" once your parents became american citizen, this will be your proof.

our case was also at Nebraska Service Center and we got approval in 6 months.

I used EMS from Siem Reap. Battambang has an office there too, just 1-2 blocks from the central market. I paid about 5000 riel for the delivery & it took just 1 day.

yes i found out that emailing the Embassy is the best way to contact them since it is tough to get through when calling. Does anyone know how often the interview schedule get update on their website. i received an email stating they sent packet 4 to me with interview date.

Thanks for all your input. In the meantime we can gather the rest of documents needed for interview such as medical and police clearance.

I just submitted packet 3 to US Embassy in cambodia. After they receive packet 3 will they automatically schedule interview date? Or do I need to contact them directly or schedule myself online. I'm a little confused.

i mailed my Fiance the packet 3 documents while waiting for NVC to ship to US Embassy. Now i just received confirmation that they received my approved packet. Just Curious what mail courier my fiancé should use to send the packet 3 to US Embassy. i know the mailing system is pretty unreliable there and don't want package lost. She is in Battambang Providence. She says there is only 1 courier in her location but I'm not sure how reliable.

i received my NOA 2 from Texas Center on Nov 12, NVC received it Dec 18 and Mailed to Embassy on Dec 19th. Keep Calling them every couple days until you get case number. Good Luck!

i was looking over the ds-160 form that gets filled out online and saw "National Identification Number" under Personal file. Does Cambodia have a National Identification Number? i would appreciated some help. My gut feeling is that the country does not issue any number. thanks

i have been waiting for almost 4 weeks and they say it can take up to 8 weeks to assign a case number. just be patience and call them once a week to check your case.

when filling out the DS-160 Form, on first page, does Cambodia have a National Identification Number? I'm trying to help fill out as much info and have my fiancé check afterwards.

i just printed 3 x 5 at the local store. on back of each photo i wrote the date, location, brief description, and people in photo. then place all in zip lock bag.

i just got off phone with NVC and they told me same thing. "It takes about 8 weeks, check back periodically" my NOA 2 was approved Nov 12th.

thanks guys. i read somewhere that some Embassy would accept packet 3 though e-mail and got confused.

i am in the process of getting paperwork ready for Packet 3 while waiting for NVC to assign a case number for my K1 petition. From reading the forum, the Cambodian Embassy requires 3 forms to be return to them before scheduling interview date.

My Question is For "Optional Form 169 for K1" whether i need to send form and have my fiancé sign, then mail packet to embassy or can i have my fiancé scan and email me complete form with signature so i can mail directly to embassy.

also for Form I-134, will embassy accept copy or should i send all original documents?

i just received my NOA 2 approval recently and was wondering if the Optional Form 169 need to have original signature from Beneficary. I was thinking of having my Fiance fill out the form, then scan and email back to me so i can send with I-134 and DS-160 Confirmation page.
