  1. Well I asked other lawyers and they all want me to find a good lawyer in my city. But here feel like every one is encouraging me to file it on my own.

I already have my divorce decree, letters of support.

I believe the only issue would be that there is an age difference between my ex-wife and I, but we were approved before with no issues.

Also there was a psychological hardship on my that my therapist does not mind writing a letter to support me with that.

But is there a guide to how to file on your own and how to fill the paperwork?

    Thanks again every one

  2. hi

what do you mean? did you already send the i751? and divorced later?

because if you haven't removed conditions yet she cannot sign for you, you have to remove conditions as divorced and send a copy of your divorce decree

what documents? there are no documents to sign, just the form and evidence of bona fide marriage

Yes I meant the I751. She can't still sign in even if we are on good terms?

  3. Dear all,

I hope you can help me with your insight.

I am on a conditional green card and I recently finalized my divorce. I am not sure how to move forward.

My ex and I are on good terms but I am still supporting her by paying her rent.

We did not file any taxes together because she did not want to.

We have bank accounts together, same health insurance and 3 leases with our name, gym membership, pictures and testimonials from close friends.

Also I am still on good terms with her family, and I have written her multiple lets of support.

I want to know how to move forward removing my conditions. Should I ask her to sign the papers? She does not mind.

    Or should I petition myself?

And what are the risks of having her sign my papers? can they ask for us to be interviewed again? We live in different states now.

    Thank you

  4. hi all,

I really need some insight on my case. I got married to an amazing person(US Citizen). We had a great life until recently.

She changed a lot and turned out to have a major mental disorder. She started acting strange and wanted to separate. The she did not want to work on fixing the marriage and said counselling is too hard for her as she is sick. But i feel like it was also a personal choice her.

It got me very sick and now I am also in therapy for treatment of the anxiety it caused me.

Long story short, I filed for divorce. And after months in court we settled to finalize divorce in November. I am currently on the Conditional Green Card. She wanted me to stay married to her and her help me with my situation, but I really could not accept this situation.

My question now is, can I file for a divorce waiver on my own. We dont have any kids. She is still on my insurance and am still paying her rent.

Every one tells me get a lawyer, but they are very expensive, Like 3000 to 4000$.

May you please help me with some good sound advice?

And has any one been successful apply for a divorce waiverr on their own?

    Thank you soo much.

  5. Dear all,

We got married 2 years ago. And we are getting divorce as we have unresolved differences. I am on a conditional green card and I am not sure how that will impact me.

I entered the marriage in good faith , but my wife wants to divorce. I tried to reconcile , but she does not even want to go to counselling. I have about 10 more months on my green card and I would like to stay here as I have a life here with friends and a career. She is willing to help me but she doesn't want to stay married. I currently don't know how to move forward. Also my divorce lawyer told me to ask an immigration lawyer before I move forward with the divorce.

    Would appreciate your help.

    Thank you

  6. I got married to my wife that I met a while ago. Unfortunately, things have gotten very stressful and we separated for a couple of months. She did not work so I supported her while she was away by paying for her hoe also was diagnosed with a very severe psychiatric disease. It explained a lot of her behavior. I love her a lot but living with her is very difficult. We then separated again. This has caused me a lot of hardships and I want top help her but she hates me and loves me at the same time. She also has made up a lot of lies about me to make all our close friends hate me. I want what's best for her, but I don't think we can reconcile as things has gotten very difficult.

My status is a conditional green card and I believe that we will move forward with a divorce soon. Can you please help me or explain to me what will happen next?

Should I prepared to leave? I honestly feel lost and I dont know how to move forward.

Please let me what I should do..

    Thank you

  8. Yes it could if it's not taken care of. After the biometrics, the applicant will have to be subjected to an FBI criminal records screening and the warrant will come up. Best guess is the spouse takes care of it soon before filing for the AOS.

But the the person who the warrant is for is the usc, not the petitioner. The none us citizen does not have a warrant for arrest. and they already filed for AOS.

  9. We received the cancellation notice in the mail today February 11th, 2014. It just says they canceled due to unforeseen causes and they will reschedule. I am not too worried about it, they will do it when they get around to doing it smile.png

    Hi bamarolltide,

Our case seem to be identical. Our interview date was on the 20th too and I just got the cancellation letter. My interview was in .Atlanta, as I also line in ALabama "Roll Tiiide"""

Just want to stay connected and I'll keep you posted with my case too. I am a jully AOS filer.

Are you considering showing up to the original interview??

    Thank you

    Roll tide!

  10. Your EAD should still be active, and should have been approved already. Though, any time waiting to return RFEs don't count, so if you waited a long time to return all your RFEs, you could have added on months of waiting. What is the status of your EAD online?

Why would you think your application for EAD was cancelled? It's still active.

You could try to go to your original interview, but you'd probably be turned away. Best to wait for a new interview date.

Well they never replied back. They only replied with an interview date. I dont know why.

Should i just mail in a request for it again? They never sent me a reciet for EAD.

  11. Why didn't you apply for EAD and AP originally?

Without your timeline filled in it's really impossible to help.

You can wait for your interview to be rescheduled.

I did. it was on hold till we got a joint sponsor. then never heard of it again. we applied last August 2013. Then had 2 RFEs. Then got accepted for interviewing and scheduling January the 20th, interview mail was the 19th of February, which was cancelled :((((((((((((

Should i re-apply for work permit?? I called and forgot to ask about that and they were like , we already sent in your inquiry , which you would have asked about the work permit before we sent in the inquiry.

  12. Hi,

Our interview was supposed to be on the end of the month, the 19th of February. I got an email saying that our interview has been cancelled, and my online profile says it has been cancelled too. :(

I am not sure what to do. I dont have EAD or AP and this could put us in a financial crisis. I tried sending them requests of EAD and AP but they never responded to them.

So now I cant work and my interview is delayed.

What should I do? should i just show up to our original appointment? Or try to apply for EAD and AP again??

it was in Atlanta, may be it is because it was the snow storm? does this have an implication on our case? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
