we got our case number from NVC last Wednesday, I'm the beneficiary I'm currently temporarily residing in Turkey but our lawyer specified that the petition be sent to Jordan for the interview as i'm a citizen. the NVC told me that it's going to Ankara and told me to email them some info in order to fix this and send it to the right embassy, i called again today to check and they told me it's in administrative processing and it shows no sign of being changed to a different embassy. we're starting to freak out, our lawyer isn't giving us much info (she's giving us the standard NVC replies) what does administrative processing mean at this stage? oh and when i gave the case number and info the lady was referring to me as a she, then i told her I'm a male, she said oh so you're both male? is it same sex? i said yes she said hold on a second let me fix that!

Just got our NOA2 email notification so damn happy. perfect timing, my fiancé is on the plane right now to meet me in Istanbul in a few hours, can't wait to tell him

Congrats to everyone that got approved but I'm starting to feel a bit jealous... people at TSC that filed after us are already getting approvals and ours was received by them on Aug 5th, should we be concerned? should we call them?

petition received August 5th at TSC here and still nothing but the alien registration number update on 8/29 should i start calling them? since a lot of people after us are getting approvals at TSC, if so what's best to contact? and does anyone have a suggestion about what questions to ask?

It means that an Alien Registration Number has been assigned to the beneficiary. This would be the A number that will be on the visa if approved.

But this in no way means that we're closer to getting our approval right? when i looked it up here some people say it has no significance when it comes to that, and some got their NOA2 shortly after, but this would be too soon i guess. just got optimistic once i got the E-mail but at least it means they're working on it maybe

We just received an email update saying "On August 29, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)." what does this exactly mean? we received our NOA1 on Aug 12th

Petition in initial review receieved on the Aug 5th we got the receipt yesterday and were so excited talking for hours (all night on my end) hope this goes smoothly. we hired a lawyer that's doing all the work but i'm following this thread will update our case status and follow others too we're so deperate for a timeframe on the entire process but so far it's been very mixed, so fingers crossed
