  1. I assume that you mean to use the following link:

    https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

I can select Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV), select "Ukraine", enter in my case #, but it says: "Invalid Application ID or Case Number.". If I select Immigrant Visa (IV), that doesn't work, either.

I'd call the DOS on Monday and ask what's going on. They should be able to tell you what to do

  2. Butterfly huh? I didn't know that. We've just gotten into the habit of calling each other pet names by adding ichka or ilka or ushka to just about any word (really, just about any word). So Baby turned into Babychka idea9dv.gif

By the way, the DOS told me that the NVC has our case, and gave me the case number. Then I called the NVC and they said it would be an undetermined length of time for processing.

I have yet to get any correspondence from anyone since NOA2, though the website now says it's sent to the consulate..I'm just glad it's not stuck at NVC!

  3. I don't know, if the US is 16 TRILLION $$ in debt, and need to borrow MORE just to offer me $340/month single health insurance dancin5hr.gif maybe I should just go live in Ukraine instead.

That's just the way the US is becoming. Tax the people more and more, and forget that the people need the services the taxes are supposed to be paying for.

  4. Oh when I try to call USCIS they asked for my receipt number and I put it in and get a response it is not a valid number and it hangs up. Does anyone know how to get through besides choosing the spanish choice?

You have to type in the number that corresponds with the first three letters. like, A, B or C type the number 2, etc. Yeah, it works

  5. Aug 22 noa2 date no bgt. Number yet as of sep24 ive called every morning to nvc. Its very disheartening to wait on nvc. Please put updates if you have any.

    Why call NVC?

    Call CSC!

They're the meat heads that are sitting on our stuff! I'm going to call them every day, just for something to do. I know it won't help, but we must protest this #######.

The 797 said "Your case was forwarded to the consulate". I wish!

  6. I talked to NVC and they said they didn't even have my petition. So I called uscis and they said they hadn't sent it out yet. I asked several times but she didn't say why they are sitting on (hundreds or more of) these. I wonder if they aren't trying to fill up a trailer full of boxes of petitions or something.

NVC has a lot of new staff now and should be pretty swift if California will get off their butts and send our #######.

Typical government agency. No compassion for anyone, and treat you like you're a big problem when you ask a question.

    NOA2 8-20

  7. Ok pal relax a bit. Remember this is my thread you're crapping on. It takes me a half day at work to make the money I spent on the service, and it was well worth it not having to comb through websites to get the answers I needed. I'm glad you consider an RFE to be a learning experience. I think it's a waste of time.

I have a 136 IQ and I can take care of myself and my wife-to-be just fine.

Don't worry about us. Go on "helping" the others if you think they need it. Just consider my advice: Leave the condescending attitude out of it.

I'm 41 and I've been around the block a few times. I own a small business and a home etc etc. Your lack of respect for me is typical of website junkies that don't know the people whom they constantly disrespect and make assumptions about. Maybe get off my thread and go spend some time with your family??

  8. When I started on this journey I had no idea what to do. I read all over the place that doing the forms was easy and I can do it myself.. But I hired an agency. I wouldn't have known how to do this on my own.

I called them on the phone and they literally handled everything and explained what I had to do in detail (I still did all the paperwork and making copies etc.)

I also hired an agency in her country (somehow it costs twice as much..) just for her peace of mind.

    It's WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

Would you go to a civil trial on your own if you could hire a lawyer for $200? NOT!

(I made the application on 5/19 and got NOA1 on 5/28. Just got NOA2 today 8/20)

It's my birthday today! No really, it is! And what a great gift!
