  1. hey guys I'm so sorry for posting again, but I really need a clear answer on this...do I need to send in the biometrics fee as well?

asking because...im finding different answers everywhere, I would really greatly appreciate it guys.

I am a current green card holder, it's about to expire soon so I'm sending in my removal of conditions form. married to a US citizen

  2. hi guys, I'm just trying to prepare...I realized I might not have notified them when I changed my address a little over year ago....but I'm not 100%...I might have but I don't recall...

and I know it asks to report it within 10 days of moving but if I haven't...is that a major issue? and what would be my step? iknow I can change it online, but...the thing is, I'm not sure if I changed it already or not - so how can I find out what address of mine they currently have on file for me? do I just call them? thank you

    1) yes- one cheque for the I-751 fee + biometrics fee. If it is incorrect it will be returned.

    2) You could send in just the form, the cheque, and a copy of your PR card if you like (as they are the only ‘required’ things), but they will just send an RFE or straight to interview notice for evidence at a later date.

It is therefore in your best interests to send as much evidence as you can to demonstrate a continued genuine relationship since you gained your permanent residence to the present time. I-751 petitions are all adjudicated on the evidence provided only.

oh ok! cuz I just read somewhere online that if you are already a resident you do not need to provide the biometrics fee, if you are already a green card holder...which I am...and if they need me to do it later on they'll let me know...

and also about number 2....I've read this on the website:

"Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by at least two people who have known both of you since your conditional residence was granted and have personal knowledge of your marriage and relationship. (Such persons may be required to testify before an immigration officer as to the information contained in the affidavit.) The original affidavit must be submitted and also contain the following information regarding the person making the affidavit: his or her full name and address; date and place of birth; relationship to you or your spouse, if any; and full information and complete details explaining how the person acquired his or her knowledge. Affidavits must be supported by other types of evidence listed above"

so....is this one completely mandatory? cuz the way they put it makes me think like it is...and I do not remember if I attached the affidavit with my initial petition! and if I did...I do not have a copy of it, so how can I attach the original one?! I'm kind of freaking out...:(

  4. hi guys, I'm about to file for removal of conditions...I have two quick questions...would really appreciate your input

    1) I know the filling fee is $595...but do I need to include the biometrics fee with that too when I send it off? or can that be paid later

and 2) I know I gotta fill out the form I-751...is that the only form I need? what about evidence? like when I first applied for my green card - do they really need evidence this time too? like photos, lease copy etc...like is that really necessary or just optional???

and if yall have any good tips regarding sending my stuff in...like what else I can include that would be appreciated thank you

  5. Hi all, I have a question. I am currently in America on a tourist visa and I do know that I can't get a job on it and working in any way is illegal. I however know that one can get a work visa but can one get it while on a tourist visa? Like back when I was in my country I would read things about it and what I got from it was that the employer has to help you fill the stuff for a work visa and that you'd have to find a job first, then do the paperwork? Or am I wrong? Back then I thought it'd be really hard to find an US employer while in Europe, but now that I am here, what can I do about it? I just want to know, thank you.

  6. Hi all, I am wondering about something and I'd greatly appreciate if you guys could help me. I am currently in USA on a tourist visa, visiting my fiancé. We have not yet started the k1 process but we would like to, while I am here. But the thing is that before I got let in in the country I told them that I want to be here for two months and then go back to my country, and I am legally allowed to remain in the USA until December. Will that be a problem if I stay longer than what i told them? Will it be bad if I stay til December?? I'm asking because I'm wondering if it would influence the k1 process...I don't want them to think that I don't keep my word, I just want to stay longer, and the stamp in my passport says I can stay til dec 23rd. So is that a problem?
