They're telling you to update your address so that you get your certificate if you move before you receive it. That's all.
USCIS does not send the original Certificate of Naturalization by mail unlike the Green Card for example, they give it in hand at the Oath ceremony. They warn you to be extremely careful with it so you don't lose it, damage it, do not laminate it, otherwise, it will cost you a lot $$$$ and many months of wait if you request a replacement.

Mine says the same thing..finished mine a week after you.
Oh and the 20 something text messages and emails on the same day for status updates..
Dont k ow why they say update address tho but I don't plan on moving anytime soon
Thank you Rusty72 for sharing your similar status and congratulations on your citizenship!
I don't plan to move anytime soon neither. I received the notifications as well and was really hoping to read something like: "we don't need anything from you anymore, no action is required from you and your are free to go".
Oh well, not life threatening, let's move on with our life as US citizens now!

First, Congratulations!!! I wouldn't worry about the online sistem of USCIS. It is off on all updates and I no longer rely on it, except for official notices by snail mail. You have a naturalization certificate, you have your US-passport, IMO you don't need to inform USCIS about your new address. You are free to go and live your life freely of filing AR-11. I didnt even follow my naturalization after i got my certificate.
Thank you for your kind response Alabamak1 ! I agree with your comment, I can live my life freely as a new citizen.

I checked my ELIS account + MyCase because I received notifications about some update.

Hello all,
First, I would like to start my post by expressing my sincere gratitude towards Visa Journey and its contributors as the forums have been a great source of support all along my immigration journey.
I am proud to announce that I became a US citizen and received my certificate of Naturalization during my Oath Ceremony on the 11th of May of this year. I am super thrilled about it and already went through the whole status update process with the Social Security administration, got myself a passport and even registered to vote. Everything went smoothly. As I am relieved to finally be done with my immigration process, I am a little curious to know why my online case does not show that I am fully done and that no more action is required from me.
As a matter of fact, my account got updated 2 days after my Oath Ceremony, on the 14th of May, saying:
"On May 14, 2018, we issued your Certificate of Naturalization for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number #############. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."
Why would I have to inform the USCIS about any change of address if I am finally a US citizen? Any similar experience?
Am I supposed to expect another update where I am told that no more action is required from me?
Thank you very much in advance for your input.

Where is your 4 years old daughter in the meantime? Is she living in the US with you? Does she have to have your wife as a stepmother? I would consider my daughter's well being paramount compare to any immigration benefits.
Your solution: move out, find a shelter/better place and an immigration lawyer.

Hello ROC June 2016 filers and good luck to everyone in advance!
My husband and I filed our ROC package this past Saturday, 4th of June 2016. This day was the very first day of our 90 days window period before the expiration of my GC.
I may have a very silly question for you to answer. My husband and I signed the I-751 document with the date: 30th of May, however we waited to send our package to the Vermont office through USPS in order to strictly respect the 90 days period. Will the date (30th of May) we signed on the I-751 document be considered as a problem for USCIS?
Thank you very much for your help.

Thank you Vicha!
We did notify our local post office and made sure to change our addess everywhere.

Yes Vicha , it is so easy for the beneficiary, a simple form and an online confirmation in the second.
We are sending the I-865 the way they request it today
Thank you for taking the time to answer me

Hello Everybody,
Long story short: I came to the US on a K1 visa, got married, filled for AOS, got Work Authorization and 2 year Green Card.
Our case is not pending anymore until the renewal of the GC.
My husband and I have moved to a new appartment on the 09/01/2015. I did my change of address with USCIS online a week after moving.
We realised this weekend that my husband, as my sponsor, has to notify the change of address to USCIS by filling the form I-865 (in the 30 days window of the move). We are about to send it today though the mail.
It has been more that 30 days we have moved, are we in trouble? Precisely, it has been 43 days.
Thank you in advance for your help,

I agree with jenafid and Operator. Don't jump too fast on hopeless conclusions.
Visit your wife as soon as possible to discuss with her. Moreover, spending time together will provide to both of you reassurance and hope.
Distance is hard on couples and the Visa process is a real emotional roller coaster.

Hi flisi,
Our AOS package was received by the Chicago lockbox on the 01/30/2014.
I, the beneficiary, received a USCIS Acceptance confirmation text and e-mail with receipt number on the 02/05/2014.
We are now expecting receiving Form I-797 by mail.
Let's be patient for the next steps…
I hope it answers your question.
Good luck Let's be patient

My husband and I are living in the DC Metro area and we have just sent our AOS to the Chicago lockbox yesterday.
For the Form I-693, we went to a civil surgeon: page 1 and 5 are in a sealed envelope in our Package (don't forget to sign it with the civil surgeon). We also submitted a copy of the DS3025.
Good Luck!

Hello,
No worries at all, you can get your medical appointment in Paris 1 day before your interview.
Basically, it took me one day to accomplish everything: between the appointment itself in the morning, the blood test and the Xray in two different labs and getting the results later in the afternoon.
Good luck!

Can I fill out all the documents with the whole new name? As the example: Jane Smith Johnson
-
Thank you very much for you answer and example.
Well, in my case, I don't have a middle name:
Example:
Name: Jane - Middle Name: / - Family Name: Smith = Jane Smith
After getting Married to my husband: Married Name: Johnson
Filling out for AOS:
Name: Jane - Middle Name: Smith - Family Name: Johnson = Jane Smith Johnson
-
Dear All,
My husband to be and I are getting married in a few days and we are filling out the documents for AOS.
I have two questions for you guys:
1) Since I want to take his family name, do I have to fill out the I-485 Package documents with his family name in place of my maiden name?
2) As I would like to keep my maiden name in my name, is it possible to fill out the I-485 Package documents with my maiden name as my middle name?
Thank you so much in advance for your help,

Merci beaucoup!

Thank you all!
I will try to post on the French-American couples topic, thank you for the link!

Dear All,
I am not sure this is the place to post it but here goes:
I got my K1 Visa and I will be moving to America in December to join my lovely fiancé and get married.
I don't have a lot of furniture but I want to be sure to have my belongings when I start my new life: general life stuffs like clothes, books, objects…
What is the best way to get them to the United States (the safest and the most economical)?
Does anyone have experience with, or know of International Shipping Companies?
Any tips, recommendations, insights, will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
The DS160 is an online form: the US Paris Embassy asks for the confirmation of the DS160 which is basically a printed page with your picture, your case number and a barcode which contains all your infos.
I would suggest you to submit the content of your application with your extra handwritten infos that cannot be contained online of your application with the DS160 confirmation page.
I answered no to this question because I understood: did someone in the past filed a petition on your behalf...
In the "previous US Travel Information" Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services?
"US Point Of Contact" I answered "US Petitioner" who is my fiancé.I wish you the best of luck! -
Hello,
How can you be in the country now? Are you technically staying illegally?
Of course overstaying might be a reason to get denied. Not having the proper financial situation for the Affidavit of Support can be a problem.
You should gather information on Visa Journey.
You should do things properly otherwise you are setting yourself up for failure.
Please, let us know if you have found a solution.
