Hi, We first applied for a K1 that was denied last year due to misrepresentation. I went back home, we got maried last month and i am now back in the states. We would like to know what to do...Should we apply for the K3 or CR1? Will that be denied? if yes at what point? Will we need a waiver then? i don't know where to start...Thank you for your help.

Well, i can honestly say that i beat everybody coz i met my fiance in high school in 96. We were friends and started dating in college in 98. I came to the US in 99. Didn't see him until 2004. Yep 5 years of intensive letters, emails, text messages, phone calls, webcam etc...I finally went home in 2004 and guess how long i could stay? two weeks....Came back and haven't seen him since. Now the Ivory Coast consulate is holding on to his passport until God knows when before they can issue the visa . I just pray to God he comes before my b-day, May 3rd. Like Mary J Blige says I'll be waiting up until he gets home.

Congratulations! I see from your timeline that the interview took place earlier this month. Can you tell me more of what happened afterwards? My fiance's interview was on the 6th and they told him they will call him. Don't know if we're in AR or not...they took his passport but didn't give him any paper. I called them several times and they keep telling me to be patient and that they will call him. Just let me know your experience.... Thank you and again CONGRATS!!!!!!

That's true. I totally forgot about it. It shouldn't matter that she was denied a tourist visa before. Thank you guys for your help! I knew I could count on you. Calling her right now...she will be relieved.

oh by the way, for my own curiosity, are those fingerprints only stored in the system if the visa is approved and used?

As if I didn't have enough to worry about, i have to worry about my friend now.... She asked me this question yesterday when I called back home and i didn't have any answer but I am sure someone here will. She applied for a tourist visa last October and the process was "suspended" (not denied) pending more proof that she will return to the Ivory Coast. She wasn't able to find anymore than what she submitted so never returned to the embassy. Since then, she got married and her husband is about to file K3. Her question is will they know that she applied before because they took her fingerprints? Are those fingerprints only stored in the system if the visa is approved and used? Since she got married, she had a name change and also lost her passport and got a new one, which doesn't contain any information about the tourist visa delay. I think those fingerprints would've only been saved if the visa was granted and she had come to the states. Am i wrong? Let me know. thank you guys for your help.

Hello beautiful people!

Pascal had his interview yesterday and he said that everything went well. The lady loved our pictures, she went crazy went she saw my Verizon bill and said while smiling "she must love you very much!". He said they were laughing like old friends and she asked him basic questions. He was very confortable at the interview. However, at the end of it, she told him that they will call him when his file is ready and she took the best numbers he can be reached at. What does it mean? i've been reading this forum and everybody has been approved on the spot or told to bring more information if needed....Unfortunately, there is no one here who went by the Ivory Coast consulate that i can refer too...I have called the consulate twice and they told me that i should be patient and that they will call him this week. I told them that i thought it would be automatic and they said that they have to prepare a packet and print a visa etc...and that if he was denied they would've told him so on the spot. I then asked if he was approved and they said that they don't like to garantee anything until they call him to confirm it but that i shouldn't worry and to sit tight. I know i should be satisfied with their answer and be patient especially since there are only 3 days left till the end of the week but it really sucks not knowing...Anyone has any ideas? i don't really know what i am asking...i guess i just wish he was approved like NOW!

Where do you guys plan to honeymoon (if you are planning to)? Especially since our future husbands/wives can't leave the states...I really don't know where we would go. I know that if we put if off, we'll end up not going because we are thinking about having kids as soon as we can. I was thinking may be a resort in FL or rent a studio there...or may be going on a cruise. Or even go to NY and stay in a hotel next to Niagara Falls...Let's share our ideas. This is mostly for K1 members but i would love to know what already married members did...
