She's in AP which means they will be doing probably an investgation. Maybe a field visit. Paperwork may need to be verified. Until they conduct their review no need for them to retain her passport. If approved than she will be asked to being in her passport. Usually not a good sign they didn't keep her passport. But lets hope for the best.

My wife also went for interview Nov, 2013 at Lagos Nigeria embassy. After the interview, the consular officer gave her white paper, and said her case is under AP. The consular officer did not take/retain her passport. Why?

Those USC that file i-130 for their under 21 yrs child in the month of July,2013. Does it current too. If yes how long will the petition take to get approved? thanks

Hello everybody, pls does anybody know the timeline for National Benefit Center at Overland Park KS, to process i-130? i am a USC and i filed for my 7yrs old kid, and he is in Africa. he was born out of wedlock, and when i was a permanent resident.The receipt number start with MSC, and it was transfered to Overland Park KS for processing. i will be waiting for the response of everyone response. My wife is pregnant and her case is with NVC. If she give birth to a newbaby before or after her interview or before coming into the US , pls what do i need to do?. i am US citizen, and wife is in Africa waiting for NVC and Embassy response. Pls your response will be greately appreciated. Thanks.
