If using benefits such as Medicaid disqualifies a person from getting citizenship, the fact that you will be paying the fee won’t change that.
That definitely makes sense. Now I just persuade myself to let go the worries.

Did you file your application yet? Also trying to find out the answers for all your questions here. Mind of share your knowledge?

I am filing for my citizenship and currently receiving food stamp and madicaid. If I file a fee waiver is this going to to affect my application in a negative way. I am asking because I keep hearing news USCIS going after people who receive public benefit of some kind.
Hi just wonder if you've filed your applications yet. The same situation here. Ready to file.

Paying the fee is not going to obscure the fact that they are on Medicaid. It’s always best not to hide things from USCIS. They know everything.
Just like to clarify - We are not trying to hide since everything is linked to SSN and I don't think we can even hide anything. But we don't want the application to be delayed because of it. If we use the waiver, we are afraid their application will be treated differently.
If the worry isn't valid, we surely like to save some money.

My parents have reached 5-year benchmark. They are low income and currently on Medicaid, qualified to have the N-400 application fee waived.
But with all the news or rumors about not getting citizenship because someone has used the benefits like medicaid, I'm kind of worried. I can help them with the application fee, but it isn't a small amount for me either. So I'm debating if I should just spend $725 each and become worry-free, or try to save some money here.
Please advise.

6 months after NOA1, I still find nothing. So glad there are many people on the same boat.

My parents 130 and 485 were both filed in Jan 2013, with case numbers starting with MSC. After 6 months, still no show. I called in March, and was told the case status is normal.
But now after 6 months, I'm getting nervous about it.
What else can I do other than calling? Should I request an infopass appointment?
I-192 Fee Waiver or not?
