Eeks! Now I'm worried! I was divorced here in April. We have the paperwork and the consulate signed off on it too...wonder if I should do anything?

hey! So my hubby speaks a little English but is definitely more comfortable speaking Creole. I speak Creole and we communicate in that 99% of the time. Is this an issue for the interview? Does he have to speak English at the interview or will they be ok with him speaking Creole? Trying to prepare and a little nervous about that aspect:)

thanks for the offer mtcmk1!! I sent it with my hubby to PAP as he is doing the medical and then will go to Haiti Messager. We do drop stuff off there, that we know...and they are saying we do medical first so we are going that route. Will try to update when it all plays out:)

Hey! We have packet 3.5 in hand and it is in French! I have had it translated and my hubby speaks and reads french but the packet is confusing a bit. Wondering if anyone has info on what the process is in Haiti with what to turn into Haiti Mesanger?
It appears as if we turn in everything but the med report then when we have the appointment we bring the med report with us? But then I read on here that others are saying we need the med report to turn in with everything to Haiti Messanger? Should I go ahead and file the papers or wait and do the med stuff first and then file them?
Also, when are fee's paid? Can I pay the $230 at the Embassy or better to pay NVC and where and how do I pay NVC?
Sorry, this packet is less than helpful:)

I'm doing a visa for residency but the medical fees should be about the same. They are $150 for an adult that doesn't need vaccinations...and around $300 if you need vaccinations is what I am being told.
Haiti Messanger fee is $20
Not sure on the police report yet. Haven't gotten that far:)
Hope all that helps!

Hey! Just wondering if anyone is doing DCF or has done it in Haiti. Having a hard time finding any information in regards to timeline and what to expect:) We have started the process and filed the I-130 and are now waiting. Would love to connect or know someone in the same process!
Thanks!

I didn't say there was not a post office, I said that our address, because it is outside of PAP in a rural area, isn't deliverable for mail. We live about 5 hours outside of PAP and no post office near us so I was interested to see if our FL address that gets delivered biweekly locally would suffice.

via a flight service. They send a little plane in every 2 weeks with mail. I'm nervous to put our Haiti "address" on there because if they do mail stuff to us we will probably never get it as Haiti doesn't have a mail service and we live 5 hours from the capital. Thoughts? Suggestions?

But we don't have an address in Haiti that is deliverable for mail....it has no number or street name, literally just the area of the town...should I still put that?

Hey all! Have a question... I live in Haiti with my spouse and am filing for a CR-1 visa. I am not doing Direct Consular Filing and we plan to move to the US after approval. I have an address in FL that I use that ships me mail every other week to Haiti. Should I use that as my address? It won't be the address that we reside at after we are approved though as we are waiting until closer to approval to secure a permanent house in the states.
Should I explain that on the cover letter? And will that address suffice?
Thanks!
