  1. Hey just thought I would add my experience because this thread popped up when I searched for "waiting for passport back in Montreal". I had my interview on January 7th and got my passport back on January 14th. There were no updates on the CSC website until I got the email from Loomis saying "passport ready for pickup". Seems like 4-5 days is a pretty solid average for Montreal!

And for anyone that's interested, we've been staying in airbnb.com places -- $35/night for an entire apartment close to the metro (important when it's blizzarding outside and you can't drive!!). Made it kind of like a romantic-but-stressful-waiting-vacation in Montreal :)

So waiting for my passport worked for me, but I won't lie -- it was a stressful week of waiting! Checking the CSC website compulsively haha :)

  2. Hi guys,

This is my first post, so please excuse me if I'm not doing it in the right place!!

A quick timeline: We paid our AOS and IV fees on July 20th, received DS-260 receipts on August 26th, and got a checklist on August 26th.

Our checklist was 2 things: not submitting my husband's business license in our I-864 package (he's self-employed), and reporting the wrong income amount (I'm still confused about "total adjusted gross income" vs "total gross income" -- the language is so hard to understand!!). Regardless, our lawyers (don't even get me started on lawyers!) mailed the revised I-864 package on August 27th.

September 24th, we got a new checklist from the NVC. For the same thing as August. The lawyers called and were told to wait until October 11th ("30 business days" from submission) before calling again. I called today and was told that they have not received anything for our checklist.

    This is driving me crazy!!!

So here's my question - can we resubmit our I-864 package by email? Or is it worth mailing another package? Or should we just wait until October 11th (which will be 30 business days / 6 weeks)? Is there any harm/good in e-mailing the nvcinquiry@state.gov address with a scanned copy of our I-864?

This is probably not the right place to ask these questions, but I am so encouraged to read about other people getting their much-waited-for "Case Completes"!!! Thank you all for sharing your updates with the world :)
