I am not sure what the best way is to get the K-1 reissued. Should I email the Consulate in Rio explaining what happened and why she went back to Brazil? Should I wait for her to see her doctor and send paperwork with the email? Just don't know what the best way is to do this so we can get a positive outcome from this.
Thank you everyone for your help and advice.

We definitely want to get married. Just not sure what route to take to get her here. I hate to be married and be apart for a year. Just really seem to be caught between a rock and a hard place.

So do you think it would be better to go with the CR-1 and not the K-1?

Thank you for your responses. Is the CR-1 Visa a better route to go than the K-1 Visa? Someone had told me before that it takes longer to get a CR-1 than a K-1.

My fiancée arrived in the US on Nov. 29, 2015. We had planned to get married this month(January). She started feeling bad and returned to Brasil on Jan. 9 to resolve her medical issues. I started a new job and do not have insurance to help her. I am at a total loss as to what to do. I called the USCIS and the gentleman I spoke with read to me that if she left we would have to start the K-1 Visa process all over again. Is there any way that something can be done to get her back without doing everything all over again? Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks you

My fiancee lives in Brasil. I am getting ready to send in our paperwork for her visa. We were planning on her coming here in July and get married. She would then go back to Brazil and come back to live here in the US once she got her Visa. Is this possible or do we have to wait to get married until she does get her Visa? Thanks for your help one and all.

Good Morning,
I am glad you are ready to get this process moving. My fiancee is in Brazil and I know how hard it is to have them so far away. I have just one question regarding all your paperwork. You said you had letters from your parents? Did you have letters from her parents as well? Both my parents have passed away but hers are still with us. Would letters from her parents suffice? Also, are the letters neccessary or is this just added information for the verification of the ongoing relationship?
Thanks and again, congratulations

I read the instructions but I don't understand what they mean by beneficiary.

I am filling out the i-129f petition for Alien Fiancee. In Part 3. Other Information #4 is asking about a waiver. What is it refering to? I am lost on this question.
Thanks

Well so much for the embassy working with us on this. Their reply was, and I quote, "Dear Sir, You must file another petition on her behalf."
So much for them working with us. My tax dollars at rest.
