    Hello everyone,

    Finally good news for my wife's conditional removal of conditions. We did receive the following email/text notification.

    The online case status has also been updated thus - "On January 8, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

    Removal of Conditions:
    02/18/14 - Approved and GC is order for production
    09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC
    08/30/13- Biometrics completed
    08/19/13- Received NOA1 with the prioirty date of 08/13/13
    08/15/13- Check has been cashed out

    Hello everyone,


    I apologize as I was out of country for the last 4 months and just logged into VJ. First of all, congrats to all the August applicants that are approved and received your Green card. I wish you all the best for those of who are waiting. Just wanted to let you know that there is no update for my spouse's status even though our NOA 1 date is 08/13/13. I hope this is not something unusual though. When I called USCIS a couple of days ago, they said I have to wait for 6 months(Until 2nd week of February) before calling them.

    All,

    I just received a letter from USCIS with the following notification.

    This is to notify you that we have transferred the above petition to the USCIS ofice at: California service center, 2nd flr, 24000 Avila Road, Laguna, Ca

    It is really weired because when I called USCIS automated messsage it states that my case has been transferred to ST.ALBANS, Vermont. Did anyone receive a similar letter from them? I am not sure how quick the process would be because once the case transferred to another service center, things might slow down and it might take atleast 5-6 months from now to get NOA2

    All you have to do is call the USCIS information number, and select the menu options that lead you to the status of your case, and the recording will tell you exactly where your case was sent. No need to fret--just call !!

    Thank you magical! I did call USCIS and came to know that my case has been transferred to ST. ALBANS, VERMONT which is really strange because that is where I sent my I 751 package and delivered to it. I am just wondering even though the email says, my case transferred to local USCIS office, in the end it turns to be the same VSC.

    Since my case has been transferred to USCIS, will this delay my case further? Are there any cases in the past that have gone though local USCIS offices and getting conditioned removed in a timely manner? I submitted a ton of evidences and I heard that normally if the case is transferred to local uscis office, interview may happen and there could be a lengthy delay. I may be wrong.

    I just received an email from USCIS with the following message. Did anyone of you get a similar message? I am not sure whether they transferred my case to local USCIS office or CSC.

    On September 12, 2013, we transferred your CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed.

    My wife had a successful early walk-in for her Biometrics in Alexandria, Virgina and no questions were asked. Infact the crowd is moderate and she was in and out of the service center in about 25 minutes. I wish all of you will have a successful early walk in as well should you decided to try. Appreciate if you could update my timelines as well

    My service center is Alexandria, VA. What about yours? I might try to attempt to early walk in on 8/30. I am afraid that I might be turn down because it is the long weekend and not sure if I will be successful.

    I don't recollect seeing in any thread of anyone doing it - you can be one of the first ones to try it. Let's know the outcome - remember to take passport also.

    By the way I tried checking the case status using the reference number from the biometric letter and the system didn't recognize it yet - probably will after the biometrics are done. Let's know if any others have similar or different experience.

    Thank you Navyk. I will try going to a different ASU(Once I receive the Biometrics letter) and keep everyone posted about the outcome.

    I have a question. Once I get the biometrics appoinment letter, how early I could try walk in instead of waiting until the day of my appointment date? Will this have any effect(speed/slow) on my application? Also can I go to a different ASU than the one that will be listed on the Biometrics letter? Any adivse would be greatly appereciated.

    It was received& signed by A.Scoss. I am sure someone should have been signed your package in VSC. Can you please ensure on that? Clearing check also depends on how fast your bank process it. Some banks takes 2-3 business days and some does up to 5 business days.

    Yes you do need NOA1 along with your Biometrics appoinment. Ofcourse you also need a copy of picture ID(Driver's license and/or Passport)

    Do I need the NOA1 for a walk in ? What documenst do i need with me in case I decide to walk in and not wait

    Typically you have to wait for USCIS to send you the Biometrics appointment letter, however you can try to walk in early at your local USCIS office depending on how busy they are.

    Removal of Conditions:

    08/12/13- I 751 mailed out using Fedex Overnight.

    12/07/11 - Received SSN
    11/29/11 - Received Green Card
    11/10/11 - POE - Chicago, IL

    Chennai Consulate:
    10/24/11 - Interview Cleared

    NVC:
    08/31/11 - Case Completed
    07/17/11 - NVC Case Number

    USCIS:

    6/16/11 - I-130 approved.
    3/14/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago
