  1. Hey guys,

my wife was given a 221g because she didn't have her name change documents (school leaving certificate and gazette copy). She was told to drop off those documents along with her passport at one of the vfs locations in india.

do you know how long would it take now for them to issue the passport back with the visa once my wife submits the docs next week..

    regards

    Aryann

  3. Mumbai consulate released the appointment schedule for January as below. My wife's visa interview is scheduled for January 30 and we got the interview letter from NVC but our BMB number is not in the list below. Is that a problem? should I call mumbai consulate to verify?

  9. Yes you have to schedule your appointment on your own. 4-7 days before your visa interview.

if you live in MUMBAI, GUJARAT, CHENNAI, KERALA AND HYDERABAD

    http://photos.state....ed13Dec2013.pdf

Is it necessary that it needs to be 4-7 days before the interview? Because my wife's interview is on the 27th of January. I thought the reports are valid for 6 months.??

can you tell me when you sent both package the AOS and the IV to the NVC ?

22nd of November everything was delivered to NVC

  10. Sometimes NVC issues checklists where you can just bring the missing/incorrect documents to the interview. But it depends on if they state that in the checklist or not. If it doesn't state it, you can contact NVC and ask them to complete your case and you'll bring the document to the interview.

I just called them and the lady said they dont need the PCC to be sent in. Actually they are waiting for my marriage certificate. I had sent in an original certificate but they claim that its not original so I agreed to send in another one. The lady on the phone said they only need the marriage certificate and my wife can bring the PCC at the time of interview. I wasted one week waiting for my wife's PCC. Now she says that only marriage certificate is required to be sent in.

  11. To get people to answer you really should be posting in the most current thread. We are in December now.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/468369-nvc-filers-december-2013/page-2#entry6679964

To answer your question. You need to call back and ask if you have case complete now. And yes they have said that to others. But you need to call so you aren't sitting waiting.

Thanks I did post it to december thread. Well another glitch that I have is I had sent in my original marriage certificate but they claim that its not original. So I put in a request for the supervisor to verify and told that I will send in another original as I have got multiple issued.

  12. Hello all,

I recently received a checklist from NVC saying a police clearance should be obtained for the file to be complete. I waited for 2 weeks and am still waiting for my wife's police clearance because it takes some time. I called the NVC and asked if i need to send in the Police clearance certificate and the lady said no. She said that the check list says that it only needs to be "obtained". You need to bring it to the interview. It is not required to send it to the NVC.

I just wanted to confirm from you guys, did anyone of you receive the same response or are aware of this?

    My consulate is Mumbai, India.

  14. I asked the same thing... My lawyer said they are two separate files. I was worried that the I-130 would get pulled and matched with the K-3. He said they get processed separately. He was just saying it would be worth filing since they are re-starting the K-3 processing. So, if the I-130 comes through first, then I'll take that.. If the K-3 comes first.. I'll go with that.

    I see. Thanks

  15. Congrats!!!!

    Just checked online:

The first time my status showed up. No text no emails nothing. Thank GOD.
