El cambiar el apellido de soltera por el apellido de casada es una decisión muy personal que solo la debe hacer la esposa. Es totalmente válido el que ella escoja llevar su apellido de soltera, en lugar de cambiarlo al de casada y no tendrá problema alguno.

Ahora que estaba llenando el formulario G-325A, en la ultima parte dice number de A (Alien) por donde esta la firma, pero asta el momento no se tengo nada de eso ni numero social.

Yo ya es para que tenga esa informacion? Lo pregunto porque donde estan los formularios de guia -- para saber como se llenan, ya esas preguntas estan respondidas..

Bueno...yo llamare el Lunes aver si me ayudand con eso. El problema es que el aeropuerto de entrada fue en Miami, y el destino final fue NY. Asi que no se si aqui en NY me puedan ayudar con eso. De todos Modos voy a cojer tu consejo y ir directamente al aeropuerto de NY haber si me pueden ayudar con eso.

Diana, otra preguntica. En el cerificado de matrimonio te pregunta que si la prometida que se quiere cambiar el apellido al apelledio del esposo... Nosotro escojimos que no que no era necesario. Eso esta mal? o traera problemas?

Osea lo pregunto pq en la aplicacion dice que des tu apellido y en este caso seria el mismo apellido no el de casados.

La mejor forma de estar informados de cuáles son los formularios y documentos que deben enviar es revisando la lista que tiene la Guía de VisaJourney. Basado en esa lista esos son los formularios que debe enviar. Los tres últimos son opcionales porque no todos quieren trabajar, ni viajar mientras procesan los documentos, ni saber si el USCIS recibió el paquete. Unas personas mandan la fotocopia del DS-3025 que les dio el doctor antes de ir a la embajada y con eso es más que suficiente para que les aprueben el ajuste. A otros les mandan un RFE diciendo que la fotocopia no es suficiente y que tienen que mandar el I-693 firmado por un cirujano aprobado por el USCIS. Entonces es decisión suya si desea mandar el I-693 o no.

Pero el la hoja Electronic I-94 Copy es necesaria? no la me sale ningun resultado del dia que entraron a USA.... dice siempre Found Not Found.... y queria saber si es posible hacer las demas aplicaciones sin eso.

Estoy confundido con una parte y espero me puedan sacar de la duda.....ya que estoy casado y solo quedan 15 dias para que se termine el plazo de los 90 dias que dan de visa. Mi pregunta es que formularios tengo que llenar ahora? Yo aplique para la visa K1.

Todos necesitan enviar el formulario I-485 y pagar por aparte. Si el menor tiene menos de 14 años y aplica junto con el beneficiario vale $635, si lo hace por aparte vale $985. Esta información la puede encontrar en las instrucciones del formulario I-485: http://www.uscis.gov/es/formularios/i-485

Ultimamente veo que ud sabe mucho de esto ..

Y queria saber si podrias aclararme una duda. Mi duda es si es necesario llevar los taxes del estado a la entrevista en Bogota? Solo veo que dice llevar los taxes 1040 oh un transcript del IRS o W2, Pero en ninung lado veo que dice llevar taxes del estado tambien. Yo ya mande los 3 ultimos transcript del IRS (2012, 2011, 2010) ahora no se si tengo que mandar tambien los del estado.

Buenas .... una pregunta que tengo dudas.....

La cita de mi prometida es en diciembre.... y queria saber si hay que llevar otro formulario de I-130 affidavit. Osea, me dijeron que uno tenia que pagar como 100 dolares para el affidavit pero no se en donde ni como ni cuando. Yo ya tengo la carta de trabajo, W2, 1040 y un transcrit del IRS. Entonces, queria saber que me hace falta y donde hay que pagar los 100 Dolares para el affidavit?

Does anyone knows when and where do you pay the affidavit fee? The form I-130 affidavit for K1 visa says is free, but someone told me that there is a fee that must be paid.

I was wondering when do you have to pay it and where? My fiancee has the appointment next month Dec and I want to have everything done correctly. By the way, form I-130 was the only form on the list (package 3/4).... that I must take. Is there any other Affidative form you know that I have to filled later on?

Hey v1, how long between the case being sent to bogota and you receiving the packet 3/4 by email? Also, did they send your fiancee anything to her Colombia address?

I send the initial application on July 22, 2013 and they received on July 26. K1 Visa was approved on Sept 29, 2013. Then, they send the papers from the National Visa to Bogota on October 10, and on October 18, she received a call from the embassy in Bogota to ask for her email. The packet 3/4 was emailed !! they don't really use Post Office or anything like that. NO papers or anything was deliver to her home address in Colombia.

We are just waiting for her to get the Police reports and flue shots and ect!! Hope everything goes well.!!

I didn't have to because I was the petitioner and we filed for a CR1 visa 6 years ago. However, the US embassy always asked for forms DS-156 and DS-156K before the online process was in place, once the system was up and running and people started using it to not only pay their visa fee but fill out their info as well, those forms were no longer needed. However, since others are mentioning those forms, it doesn't hurt to take them with you just in case. It's best to go over prepared and be ready to hit whatever curved ball they throw at you.

You are right!! I emailed the US embassy in Bogota and they replied that forms DS-156, DS-156k and DS-230 were replaced by online form DS-160 !! No need to filed those forms anymore. But, in any case I will complete them just to be safe!! You never know..

This is what they wrote to me:

The reason why they list form DS-156 or DS-156K in the instructions is because you will most likely be paying the visa fee online and to do so you will have to fill in all your information and print it out to take to the embassy, so that form is no longer needed. DS-230 is only needed for CR/IR visas, not K visas.

I still recommend filling out form DS-156 just in case because we're dealing with the US embassy in Bogotá and they can be a mess some times, but like I said, since you're filling out the form online, they probably won't ask for form DS-156.

Thank you for your response. But, Forms DS-156 and DS-156k are NOT on my instruction email. The only form It says to take is form DS-160 confirmation page which is done ONLINE, and once's that's completed I will have to pay the k1 visa fee.

I am just concern that a lot of people applying for the K1 visa have filled out forms DS-156 and DS-156k. I don't know if the requirements have change or is no longer needed. I have looked online without no luck on this information.

So, in your case did you have to filled those two forms? or any idea what can I do?

I just received 4 days ago an email with all the instructions necessary to schedule an appointment at the USA embassy in Bogota, Colombia and was ALSO wondering if forms DS-156, DS156k and DS-230 needs to be filled out and taken to the embassy? NO WHERE in the email (3rd/4th package) says I must fill those forms.

The ONLY forms that says to filled out is DS-160 online and the I-134 Affidavit !!!

Lo que tiene el registro civil es solamente el estado civil de la persona y no es la sentencia de divorcio donde debe mostrar los nombres de la pareja, fecha del divorcio, motivos, etc.

Le recomiendo que contacte el abogado que le tramitó el divorcio para que le de una copia de la sentencia. Si no lo hizo con un abogado o no lo puede contactar, Ud. puede ir en persona al juzgado donde le tramitaron el divorcio para pedir una copia de la sentencia.

Ahora la sentencia de divorcio me imagino que son lo que le dicen la escritura publica? El abogado cuando salio el divorcio me dio como 15 paginas. Las tres primeras paginas dice los nombres de las parejas , fecha de divorcio, que si hubo hijos, bienes repartidos, y ect. Esa seran las hojas que ud me dice?

I was wondering if anyone can help me figure this out. I need to know how a Divorce Certificate looks in Colombia, the reason I am asking this, is because they send me a divorce certificate that was a Registro Civil, I guess is the birth certificate with a notation on the back of the paper saying the person is divorce. By the way, the marriage was in civil court not through church.

Now, my confusion is that on the USA VISA page of the acceptable documents it says they cannot accept that kind of divorce certificate.

"The petitioner and applicants must present certified photocopies of final divorce decrees, annulments, or death certificates. We cannot accept civil or religious separations or annotations on the back of marriage certificates as proof that a marriage has been terminated. Notary documents should state “cesación de efectos civiles” when there is no divorce sentence."

If anyone can please help me figure this out I will be grateful !!! Thanks.....

Pero cuando yo leo la lista de documentos a llevar a la embajada de bogota dice en ingles que no quieren esa clase de documento como divorcio.
