  1. My wife of six months wants to visit the USA. We have no intentions of living in the USA because my wife has 20 years employment with the government and does not want to quit her position. Thus, when applying for a tourist visa is it necessary to enter the USA within the first 120 days after a visa is granted? Also what will be the likely position of the US embassy in Brazil regarding a tourist visa after only 7 months of marriage? Although, we had been in a Estavel Union for 1 year prior to marriage. Any information will be appreciated

  2. Hello,

I am married to a Brasillian woman and currently living in Brazil. I am suppose to travel back to the USA for business on Sunday for three weeks. Before we married she owned her own home and we presently live in this house now. She's now telling me she going to change the locks and lock me out upon my return in three weeks. What does the law state about this in Brazil? Does she have the legal authourity to put me on the street or does only a Brasillian judge make decisions on these matters. We are married under Comunhao Parcial de Bens. I very worried about my return and if I will have a place to stay or if I am going to be on the street. I sold out and moved to Brazil and don't have another place to stay. I thinking about cancelling my trip due to my concerns about this matter because, I believe she just might do this. Could someone that has some information on Brazillian family law help with information. Thank you,

  3. Hello, can anyone tell me if the U.S. embassy in China, allows an American citizen to file a petition (DCF) for a spouse to obtain IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa? And if so, what has been there experience with this process. Please include the do's and dont's for DCF of IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa in China. Also is a IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa easier than a K-1 ? Just starting the Journey, any help would be appercaited.

  5. Yea, I have a similar problem. Me and the wife had been married for 2 years and we visit her family every winter in Brazil. She gets her 10 year green card and shortly after she decides she going to stay in Brazil and raise our 2 1/2 year old son. and tells me I can either move here to her town or go home alone. I file a Hauge Convention application for the return of our son and we have a hearing six weeks latter and its just a bunch of bullshit, stall tactics etc. So I get a Ex -Parte order giving me sole custody from my local court house and during a visit with our son, I return for the United States. Mean while after I leave, her local court house gives her a competing custody order, Well this causes big problems and I now have Kidnapping charges in Brazil. After going thru 6 different countries and 25 days on the lam to return back to the U.S. All I can say is, if either a husband or wife suspects or knows they have a troubled marriage don't travel abroad with your kids. Save yourself a lot of grief, make sure your marriage is intact or you could very well lose everything including your sanity.
