but it is definitely good to include photos with relatives and friends around. We did and I heard from other people that it helps.

and we never included our photos "kissing". It sounds funny for me to be considered a requirement

I can recommend you - www.rapidvisa.com
It is much cheaper and we were satisfied with service. We got our K1 visa recently but they do CR and such too. Since you are their client and paid the fee, they provide free consultation if you have any questions during the process.

Check your embassy site as for medical examination and you may find smth like this (this is not from Turkey but we were told this is CDC requirement in general):
Laboratory examination for tuberculosis disease will consist of at least three sputum specimens, which will undergo microscopy for AFB as well as culture for Mycobacteria Tuberculosis. Specimens reported as negative will be cultured for a minimum of 6 weeks, with a final report available within 8 weeks of collection. Positive Mycobacteria Tuberculosis cultures will undergo Drug Susceptibility Testing (DST) for first-line TB medications. DST results will be available within 10 weeks of sputum collection. Positive cultures that are resistant to first-line TB drugs will undergo drug susceptibility testing on second-line tuberculosis medications.

I can tell you this : effective 1st April 2013, if there is anything suspicious on x-ray (regardless what you can say as a reasoning to a doctor), there is not just 3 days test (fast bacilli test), that one is only step one. After 3 days test, there must me a culture test with the same samples (they don't collect new ones). So if 3 days (quick test) is negative then still 2 months (they say 8 weeks but till it gets to the embassy it may be 2 months) on culture testing after which they send docs to the embassy, and if you had interview in between without the medical results ready, then it is RFE and AP and approx. 1 month wait in AP (maybe depends on the specific country embassy workload too).
Those 2 months test is mandatory as a rule for all countries so it doesn't depend on the country. And if 3 days fast test is positive, then it is a longer story which you may not wish to know yet.
I hope it helps.

No, don't worry about it. Embassy and medical don't ask for military record after 25 y.o. regardless if he served or not. That been said, I am sure it is not required for AOS too.

i am not sure we have such a thing as a divorce nisi in Ukraine. Can it be that your divorce in USA isn't final yet? Maybe you got divorce lately and they mean it can be appealed or what? Or maybe after court your attorneys hasn't signed the final still? I heard that in USA you have to wait for half a year after divorce to be eligible for new marriage. I will ask my fiance later today as this sounds strange.

i'd advise you to read the instructions abt medical at your embassy web site. I am not from your region, where I am it says:
Travel clearances are valid for 6 months from the time the evaluation is complete for applicants who have no Tuberculosis Classification and who do not have HIV infection. Travel clearances are valid for 3 months from the time the evaluation is complete for applicants who have any kind of Tuberculosis Classification or who have HIV infection.
-
I think it is after interview. But if medical has some classification (like related to tb), then the medical itself is valid for 3 months only.
-
Well, if you are worried, by timeframes you still have a couple of months to re-send it before NOA2
We thought K1 is much faster than CR1 but it took us 9 months in total by now.
-
I think you are fine. I did my translations at local Chamber of commerce, it's cheap and fast. If I am not mistaken, while applying for K1 they didn't ask for any translations but we put them in anyways and I still brought translations for the interview and they didn't want them
My status is "issued" today !

i'd think you put in your current address and change it later unless you intend to move in the nearest time and know your new address. But as for port of entry - I don't think it matters, as for many people those are transfer port of entries.

Embassy in Ukraine doesn't require any documents which are in Russian or Ukrainian to be translated, so that's not the problem. I know "must" is that your fiancee also brings her marriage certificate from her previous marriage in addition to her divorce certificate/decree. Maybe that's what they want now? Also maybe if she has underage child they want to see the whole divorce decree, not just a certificate? Those are just my guesses of what they want.

Right, but i guess in Russian passport for foreign trips, middle name isnt even indicated while in UK passport it might be indicated. If so it may delay the process....
-
i'd personally make sure it is corrected before interview. I believe i read it somewhere that if your info for interview sheduling isnt accurate, it should be corrected before interview. I am not from UK though so not sure how it works for you.
ah here i found it:
Report change : it is applicant's responsibility to report........mistakes in spelling of given name or last name.......It is responsibility of both the petitioner and beneficiary to keep the Consular Section informed. ...... Failure to do so prior to the visa interview will lead to a delay in visa processing.....
But again, i am not from UK, so you decide.
Good luck

When you receive your visa, in the visa itself it will be indicated the expiration time and it is not related to the K1 application expiration time. I believe it is half a year if your medical has no classification and 3 months if your medical has some classification (like related to tb).
But if for some reason you dont receive visa before application K1 expiration date, then there are different opinions on that even from authorities. They say it should be automatically extended but just in case contact the embassy to make sure they do. I wish it not to be your case. The main thing is that you appear for your interview before the expiration date.
This is to the best of my knowledge. I hope it helps.

Thank you, Hollyday. Already sent it to one of them
just learning how this site works so it has taken time to figure out.

Hello, i am a new member and not aquainted with all features here. I'd like to ask - why does it ask to register again for country portal? So posting here and hope that admin will move this to Ukraine portal if appropriate.
My question is mainly for Gomelby and Reid Wallace and anyone who has any information. I've been following the posts as for AP in Ukraine, and doesnt seem to be any since mid June.
Gomelby and Reid Wallace, could you please update about your current situation. Have you got the AP issue resolved or is it still pending? My interview was a bit later than yours and i am getting the feeling that i am in a long run for AP. It's been weeks and no information requested, just told to wait. So if you tell me that yours are not resolved still, i guess it will not sound good as for my timelines too. I looked at ceac and it still shows AP.
thanks again.

you are right but be aware that the spouse visa may take even longer than that. Though of course she will get a permanent greed card faster without waiting for 2 years under conditional green card.
