Hey srvman, welccome back. What date did you get approved? I know you said a year after marriage but that date isn't on your timeline. Did you have to re-do your medical?
I got approved May 13th. I didn't redo my medical (original medical was Middle of Feb 2014). Card is in production, and I have received my welcome to america letter already.

I got my approval notice about 1 year and a week after getting married, and I have seen a few people like that. Perhaps a reasonable expectation will be 12 months after applying?
-
Received confirmation yesterday that my Green Card was being produced
)
Married May 3rd. Filed May 18th, 2014.

I just recieved the interview waiver letter yesterday on the mail... It's kind of strange I just got it considering I applied for a process inquiry like a week ago because the field office was WAY behind... Also, they sent it to our old address, and he last official process on my uscis was a change of address letter...
I got my waiver letter yesterday, dated February 25th... I'll probably apply for an extension to paperwork, just to be on the safe side... When did you get your letter?
I cant even remember. Sometime in September.

Anyone who got the waiver letter getting any news?
Still none here,
Not looking forward to having to do more paperwork for an extension

Thanks everyone, putting my mind at ease.
On a side note, Delta is ####### if you are a heavier set gentleman.
Thanks again all!
Also I didn't use a terrible expletive there, it was intended to be more light hearted than that looks, the word begins with a c and rhymes with wrap.

Cool Thanks, Flying into Dublin, so hopefully they are a little better informed.
Just to clarify though, I just need my card and my passport? I dont need to gather evidence or any of that stuff?

Hi,
I just want to make sure I am not missing anything. I found out my grandmother has a couple of months to live so I wanted to go home for a week to say hello and bye for the last time.
I have my EAD card with AP, waiting on my Greencard still.
Do I need anything at the airport other than the EAD card and my passport, does anyone see any issues arising?
It doesn't expire until August of this year.
Thanks,
Chris

stupid phone created a lot of spelling mistakes... I "have" my masters.
But yeah, you kind of have to think outside the box over here. Especially in a small community like Montana.

I hdidn't master's degree, and used my f1patienceand b2 visa time to network like craat. When I got back I had a few nights out with some of my contacts. Got a few beers in them and got then to spread the word. Within about a week I interviewed for 6 jobs and was offered all of them. Picked the one with the best title, best money and pretty good hours even though I am salaried.
It is all about confidence. Being a great social drinker with good contacts always helps.
I didn't apply for one single job..
Have patience and faith, you will find something. Just remember everytime you are out at a bar, local event, or even church it is your opportunity to network with someone who can help you. Heck I am not even nearly religious, but the contact who got me in the door for the job I have does, and I met him there when I decided to go to a service for a christening. Every person you meet could potentially be your golden ticket.

Went to DMV and im not in the system yet. called to just confirm I am ok to work. Going in tomorrow to sign a nice contract.

Card in hand today, fortunately I already have my SSN.
-
I was offered a decent job as a director of student services and housing at a University today.
Will be starting the second I have my EAD in hand. Worked out quite nicely

I wonder how many cases are processed a day. My case number is a MSC one..
I looked back and my number is about 800-900 cases from the closest batch of recently approved ones.
You would think it would be sometime this week. If anyone has that information I think it would be helpful.
Hope I am not the only one looking up numbers around me

Just got an update. EAD/AP card in production.
Still waiting for I-485 interview date!
Awesome, hopefully it doesn't take too long to arrive.
-
Just curious as to what time of the day people are getting updates on when the EAD goes into production?
-
also, I love Montana! I am so happy to live here, even if noone else back understands why lol

Something along the lines, and don't quote me...
"Why the hell does it take so long, when I am paying over a thousand dollars, and we have already filed for K-1 which wasn't exactly cheap"
and also
"Im not trying to get expedited, I just want someone to try and fix this mess"
although, when on the phone, they asked if they could look into it for me, and I said yes, so I am shameless, I dont care.
Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case [Part II]

Ha! I suppose it was Jan,
I honestly needed a break from tracking times and checking USCIS, which is why I went away for a little. Was honestly not even going to think about anything until the end of this month, when I was going to submit my reapplication thing.
