Amanat bro Mubarak!! No problem :-)
How do u know it takes 2 weeks?
-
Ur most welcome :-)
-
Amanat bro if ur already in the US and u have not paid the fee yet, I suggest u do it ASAP because it may delay ur greencard. If ur confused I can help u with this. Let me know...

Amanat bro...my husband got his visa after 10.5 months of AP :-)
I have a question...when u paid the new immigrant visa fee of $165 online...how did u find the alien (A#) registration number? Was it the part that was just labeled "registration number" on ur visa? It doesn't have the A# symbol on the visa.

Congrats amanat bro! So happy for u:)
How many days did it take u to get ur visa after u dropped off ur passport?

Wow Laila Mubarak!! I am so happy for u. May ur new life be blessed in many ways! Keep us in ur prayers.
Amanat bro, 9 months here. may Allah hear ur prayers and everyone else who is waiting to be reunited with their loved ones soon :-)
-
unity, I agree with Laila. I also wait about 5 months for the interview letter to arrive so be patient brother.
-
Kandahari here also :-)
-
It depends on who u listed as the person to contact. If it's u then they will email u the package:-)
-
Yes, that's very much the norm.

I can't answer this question as I myself don't know. But, I have a question for u. How can u file an I-129F (fiance) and an I-130 (spousal) both in the same time frame? U can't be engaged and married to one person at the same time. Either, ur engaged or ur married. I'm curious because I have seen a lot of people do this. Won't one application impact the other?
-
Laila, I understand ur worries and frustrations. My husband has been in AP for almost 9 months now and still nothing :-(
My advice for u is to wait at least 60 days before making any sort of inquiry (I read this somewhere in their website) and so that is what I followed. Over the months, I've called, emailed, had my lawyer email them, and had my congressman email them. I've just got the same response each and every time. My point is that no matter how many times u contact them, it will not speed up the process. Unfortunately, AP is not completed until they say it is. My friend, I will tell u one that I wish others before me in my shoes would have told me...grow some thick skin and be patient :-)
And y is ur fiancé applying for non-immigrant visa?
And y is ur fiancé applying for non-immigrant visa?
And why is ur fiancé applying for non-immigrant visa?

Mubarak meera!! Wishing u blessings of a new life together :-)

Meera...like Elizabeth said, I suggest u emphasize the date of interview to the medical center. If they can get u in before, great! If not, it's ok...no worries. My husband went for his medical a few days before his interview and he didn't get results yet because they said it will be " ready 10 days after interview." Since he didn't have the results at the time of his interview, the medical center gave him a piece of paper stating that he had his appnt and was seen by the dr. And he picked up his results exactly 10 days later to which he dropped it off at embassy. To answer ur question, yes it will cause a delay to ur husband's case but it will only be brief.

Thanks Myra. Best of luck to u too sister

Walaikumsalam Laila jan. I understand that this whole process is all about patience and Strength. Like you said, may we all hear some good news during Ramadhan inshallah :-)
-
Thanks Myra jan. is ur fiancé/husband in AP too?
-
Amanat...they did not ask my husband for any additional documents. They told him that they will call him. About 2 weeks later, they did call but it was only to gather all his phone numbers. Then that was it.

Meera jan and myra&ashiq, i filed for my husband in feb. 2012 and he did have his interview in Kabul in feb. 2013. He has been placed under the infamous AP since. I will update my timeline as soon as I figure out how to lol I am new to this forum. I have not seen him for 1 year and 7 months. Do u guys know if will affect our case? Like the longer we go without seeing them, they will question the authenticity of the relationship? Our marriage is very much genuine. It's just that I have so much obligations here I can't just get up and leave when I want to. I'm curious about other members on here...how long did u go without seeing ur significant other?
-
Meera...congrats!!
Alluneedislove...I have not seen my husband for same amount of time as u (1 year & 7 months). I am a feb 2012 filer. My question is y haven't u gotten an interview at this point? Did u file at later date?
-
Cali, same exact thing happened to me back in 2011. I have filed 1-129F for my fiancé in Kabul. All went well until they requested proof of us meeting in person in last two years. Being that it was arranged by our parents, I have never actually met him at all. I was hoping to get this waived by having a notarized letter from the head of a local mosque explaining that we r not permitted to see each other pre-marriage. A year later, I got a denial letter back saying that the meeting can be chaperoned, etc. Before I got the denied 1-129F petition bAck, I went to Kabul to marry him. We withdrew our fiancé petition and started our 1-130 spousal paperwork last year.
Cali, my suggestion is that u MEET HER AGAIN and take many pics, hold onto ur ticket, and provide as many proof as u can. Then u can continue with ur fiancé petition (as long as u didn't miss ur deadline to submit documents) or u can get married and start fresh 1-130 paperwork. Hope this helped:-)
-
Amanat, when was ur interview at Kabul? Did u need to submit additional documents after ur interview? My husband has been in AP for almost 5 and 1/2 months now :-(
