Hi Everyone,
I am currently filing the Ar-11 Change of Address form. I can't seem to find instructions for this form.In the past, most "Date of Entry" to the U.S. questions have been referring to your most recent trip, on the form it asks for the same things: Date of Entry to U.S.
Does anyone know specifically if this is the most recent trip or the first trip since I ever came to the U.S. on the visa waiver program?
I have looked online and there are various answers...

Hi Everyone,
As you know, USCIS requires that everyone changes their address within 10 days.
There are two options: 1) change your address, or 2) change your address on any pending applications/recently approved applicationsThe exact words are below - I am wondering if having a 2 year conditional greencard counts as a pending application or a recently approved application? If yes, then I have to go and give all my old receipt numbers which seems odd since I got a greencard.
Have no pending cases;File Form AR-11 (online OR by mail)If you use our Online Change of Address, you do NOT need to file a paper Form AR-11.Have any pending OR recently approved applications or petitions (except for VAWA, T or U visa); you need to complete two steps:Step1: File Form AR-11 (online OR by mail),ANDStep 2: Change your address on any pending or recently approved applications or petitions, online OR by phone at 1-800-375-5283. For TTY (deaf or hard of hearing) call: 1-800-767-1833. -
It took me a couple of weeks and the EAD came first!

Hey all, I have my interview coming up and we have a few questions:
1) I sent original IRS Return Transcripts along with my original packet, do I need to reorder and bring those again?
2) Do I need to bring my joint sponsors original W-2s?3) Where can I find a comprehensive list of all the the documentation to bring? I know I have the checklist on the I-797 but I want to make sure I cover all the bases.

09/05 Interview date for 10/8 -
You may get updated soon to "Testing and Interview" for your I-485. That could mean you'll be given notice of your interview date in the next few days...or, as in my case and that of several others, you may end up waiting, and waiting, for 30-90 days (as per some recent filers) to hear anything. All the best though, two late July filers already have been issued notice of early October interview dates, so there is hope!
All the best!
I also just got an email/text saying my I485 has been updated to "Testing and Interview" - so cool!

if you go now without advance parole, you screwed yourself and have to start over
Good thing I was just thinking of it!

Normally an F1 student can go to Canada without an entry visa but since I am now F1/AOS pending, can I go to Canada or will I not be allowed back in?
-
That was indeed, quick!
Our filing (for Mr. Hello's) AOS/ EAD/ AP are still in the acceptance and he did his biometrics on August 25. Really hoping to hear soon! *fingers crossed*
I did my biometrics on 08/22 and haven't heard anything yet. Should I hear something soon?

Had my biometrics the other day, does anyone know roughly how long it takes after biometrics to hear any updates/see any changes with the progress tracker thing?

Hi everyone -
I just wanted to check, is the appointment notice and photo ID all I need to take to my biometrics appt? -
Not so far. I mean, you can probably do it both ways, but I followed a guide by Nolo - it's trusted for legal advice.
See here:http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/free-books/fiance-marriage-visa-book/chapter11-13.html
Hmm
Actually, this makes sense although other people says that spouse(petitioner) and beneficiary both should put 2. status as permanent resident.
Didn't you have any problem like RFE?
Thank you for your answer.
-
The USC should check Other and specify "In Support of Spouse's I-130", the beneficiary (you) should check "Status as Permanent Resident". If you don't have enough space to type it, hand write it in.
Hello,
My spouse and I supposed to fill out G-325A respectively for form I-130.
In G-325A, what is my spouse and I is supposed to check respectively on
'This form is submitted in connection with an application for'
1. Naturalization
2. Status as Permanent Resident
3. Other (Specify)
My spouse is USC, and I'm doing AOS.
Are we both supposed to check on 2.Status as Permanent Resident?
Thank you in advance!

Was the I-864 the latest version of the form? Did you check it the day you sent it out?
It could mean one of two things; either they lost your I-864, in which case you should resend it.
Or that want you to send copies of the recent tax returns, did you send them for all the recent years - did you send transcripts or copies of returns? -
That's not entirely true about having to pay out-of-state until you have your GC.. some colleges allow students to get in-state tuition rates if you can show NOA1

I reported a typographical error in my name, and in the notes she has the correct spelling but I got a letter with another mistake in my name.
After calling USCIS, they told me they cannot open another typographical error service request until 30 days are up... my biometrics in is a week.
Any suggestions? Has anyone else had this problem? -
Yes they are supposed to give you an exact copy of what is in the sealed envelope
-
Not that I know of. According to the instructions on the form its check or money order.

Just an update - I called USCIS to check if it was hyphenated in their system. They said no, the lady I spoke to said that she put in Service Request to hyphenate it. The other day I get a notice saying my name was changed, but instead of hyphenating it, somehow it now has an apostrophe where the hype should be.... ridiculous. Anyway, now I have to wait 30 days before they put in a new service request and in the mean time I run the risk of having my employment authorization come with my apostrophe'd name on it......

You can't file as a resident until you are one. Until your residence is approved in writing you can't do it. On a positive note, if you receive your residence on 12/31 you can file as a resident for the entire year.
OK - so if I don't have my greencard by the tax filing date, I will file as a Non-Resident Alien, as I have done for the past few years (even though my AOS will be in process).
Ar-11 Change of Address Date of Entry
in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas

That's what I thought but when you click on the help icon it says: "Date of Entry refers to the approximate date when you first entered the US"
