  1. I went without insurance from June to January. Couldn't even sign up until November. US government apparently doesn't think that immigrating is life changing enough to add someone to insurance. ROFL

That is a shame one would think that would be the case. Luckily enough though marriage is normally a qualifying life changing to add someone.

Ours was in AP from Friday till Monday and then on Tuesday about midday it changed to issue. Also here is another good thread about the wait times after approval of the visa. Oh and before I forget congratulations!!!!! on the approval!!!!

  5. I'm so confused about CEAC...when I enter my MTL # it says 'your search did not return any data' sad.png:(sad.png

I would try it again, the site might been under maintenance when you tried.

  6. The p4 tells you how to set up your appointment. Here is a snipet from our p4.

    Schedule your visa interview appointment

Please visit http://canada.usvisa-info.com/ to obtain information online or via telephone concerning scheduling an interview appointment for you and those family members included in the petition. If you have not previously registered your information and selected a Loomis/DHL courier location on this website, please do so now.

You must have the Passport Number, Date of Birth, Nationality, MTL case number, and visa category for each applicant (principal applicant and all family members, including children) ready in order to access the website. When prompted to select “Trip Purpose”, you must choose ‘Permanently Immigrate to the US.’ After entering your information, you will be prompted to select an appointment time for you and your family.

  8. Hi.

Question: Have any of your significant others lived in the US previously under a work visa etc for at least 12 months? Mine did many years ago. I am curious if anyone had to also get a US Police Clearance?

not sure about your embassy/consulate but here is a cut and paste from our p4 letter. Hope it helps.

OBTAIN THE ORIGINAL POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE
Each visa applicant aged 16 years or older must submit a police certificate from every
country where he/she resided for at least 6 months after the age of 16.
Some countries require a specific Police Certificate Request form to properly request and
obtain Police Certificate(s). The Reciprocity by Country page indicates those countries.
Police certificates from certain countries are unavailable.
Present and former residents of the United States do NOT need to obtain any U.S. police
    certificates.
For more specific information please visit HTTP://TRAVEL.STATE.GOV/VISA/FEES/FEES_3272.HTML
So probably your best bet is to get a hold of you embassy/consulate and ask them what you need in case they a particular for what they are looking for.
  9. I had to look up for some information of previous spouse from when we got divorced back in 1993. In state of Kentucky I just had to supply her name, maiden name and about when the divorce took place. Not sure what state you are trying to get it from but I would start by going (if possible) to the county clerks office where the divorce took place hopefully they have a record of the proceedings still.
