  1. Bad news don't trust the tracking service from the DOS

I received an update saying my file was "READY" but Napoli still hasn't got it... They wrote back saying that with the new system of making appointments on line I won't have appointment until September

    Angelina,

My case just got shipped to NVC and will also eventually go to Naples. Could you elaborate on what you mean about making the consular appointment? Why does it take longer with the online...that seems counterproductive?

    Thanks!

  2. My NOA2 - July 8, 2013.....I have called USCIS and NVC....USCIS actually told me they couldn't doing anything because I had been approved????? NVC hasn't received anything yet. I have not received a notice from USCIS stating my case was sent to NVC!!

I'm sorry to hear that...I posted again to let people know that I got notice I got sent to the NVC on July 19. I got a text update and email too.

So you have been approved but no notice that they are forwarding to NVC? Give USCIS two weeks. It seems like there is a two week delay time now between USCIS approval, and USCIS sending onward to NVC.

  3. This is very promising because I was also approved on July 6th but was never notified--did your case online update to show it was fwd to the embassy?

    Seem

Yes, my case did update online and I finally got a text message and email update from USCIS.

Keep calling...convince the person on the phone that your case is "outside of normal processing times" and that you would like to make an inquiry. That might help.

  4. Hi all,

I just wanted to say that after I put in a request via the Customer Service Center. I got an email today that they looked into the problem saying that my Feb. 1. Petition had been APPROVED on July 6. However, the online system is not showing an approval, and I never got any other notifications. Now I am trying to figure out if they bothered sending it to the NVC or not. Does anyone have any similar stories or advice. Thanks for your help.

  5. I'm with all of you guys. So frustrating. The part that makes me the angriest is that they require so much "intent of proof to marry," but yet you can't even plan the wedding because you never know when you will get approved.

I was assured by so many people that since my fiancé is European things would move faster. After looking at the processing times when I filed in January (NOA1 Feb 1), I thought September 27 would be adequate time for the wedding. My parents have planned a black-tie event in Texas, and many of my fiancé's friends and family have booked flights. Now it looks as though we won't make it on time for the visa...I guess he can fly in anyway on a tourist visa and we can hoodwink the guests into thinking the judge married us privately? So frustrating.... Try to follow the rules, for someone I've been with for 3 years, seen in person a good 12+ times, only to get slapped in the face. I honestly feel ripped off by my own country if that makes any sense.

Sorry I just needed to get that off my chest.
