  1. Hi guys,

We filed for removal of conditions at the end of August 2016, like all of you, we are still waiting. When should we think about making an info pass appointment? The extension letter is dated 8/31/2016 but his GC expired on 11/25/16. I just looked at the online infopass scheduler and it says there are no available appointments in the next 2 weeks for our location, check again tomorrow. I'm thinking I will need to check daily until an appointment opens up, so should I try to schedule as soon as something opens up? Or should we wait until closer to Nov.? Thank you for your help in this matter.

  2. Can someone please tell me if all the checklist cover sheets are the same? I received a false checklist when my AOS was accepted. I'm waiting on an IV checklist email that contains the cover sheet. I'm not sure how long the email is going to take to get here. I was told I got the checklist over the phone 2 days ago. Can I use the false checklist cover sheet with the IV Docs I have to send in?

  4. So we got an IV checklist :crying:. I got this info over the phone yesterday but we do not have the email yet. We've spoke to 2 agents that said we are getting the checklist for court records. We applied and sent the police cert that was for immigration purposes. when we received it, it had the classification of "NO live trace" which states: "Whilst there is criminal record information held about you, this information does not appear on your Police Certificate as it is deemed no longer relevant. It still forms part of your criminal history and is your responsibility to declare it in accordance with the conditions of your visa." So thats exactly what we did on the DS-260. We explained that he received a caution 8 years ago. Now NVC wants court records. The problem is, this was not a court matter. He literally got a caution from the police. The only thing we can get is a record from the same place we got the police cert, it's called a "subject access" but we have been told that this is normally just for personal use and they don't understand why NVC is requesting records for something considered no longer relevant. I feel like we are getting the run around, NVC wants documents that don't exist. The only document we can obtain can take up to 40 Business days to produce and I'm not even sure it what NVC wants.. I feel so angry and devastated and I don't know what to do. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any advice?

  5. It's been one year today since we got the NOA1. :cry:It's been a hard day for the me and my husband. When we started this process we thought we'd be together a year later. Most cases were only about 10 months start to finish at that time. I know we are close now but I have to say, the closer to the end the harder it is becoming to find anymore patience. Some days I feel like this might actually drive me crazy!! I've checked ceac website all day hoping for a miracle, hoping my AOS would turn N/A. I knew it was a stretch since the IV was scanned on the 16th of June, But a girl can dream! ;)

I'm holding out hope for a CC in a week or two.

Congrats to all the CC's today and all the Interview dates!!! I'm so excited for you all. Also good luck to all of you who are waiting for your CC and other steps at NVC. I hope we all get the good news we've been waiting so patiently for, soon.

  6. Hi all,

I just got off the phone with NVC, talked to a very nice woman (Didn't catch her name). My AOS packet that was scanned in on May 20th was reviewed and accepted. Just wanted to let all know with that same date that they seem to be working on cases around then. Now I'm just hoping IV packet gets accepted, no check lists and we can have a CC in about a month!!! :D I'm wishing everyone the best of luck with this process, I hope we all get to be with our loved ones soon.

  7. I'm a USC and I filed a I-130 for my husband in July 2013. When we filed we did not list his daughter as wanting or needing to immigrate along with her father. Now things have changed and she can no longer live with her mother. The original plan was to wait and file a petition for her after her 18th birthday if she decided she wanted to live in the US but now it would be better if she could just immigrate with him. My question is, can I change the I-130? It has just been transferred to NSC and we have not received our NOA2 yet. Or is it too late and we have to file a separate I-130 for her after my husband gets his visa? I've tried to search for the answers but I'm not finding the answers I need. I hope someone can help. Thank you so much!
