How long between RFE reply and NOA2? Was wondering as its now been over 5 months since we filled with the USCIS and after all the ####### we was put through with them not sending the RFE for 6 weeks we are back waiting at square 1 again.

Exactly. That's why I think they don't need a copy of the whole passport. Just the page with the id and owner's information, plus the one with the stamps with the travel I need them to see. They will not use the rest of the pages.

I sent the pages that had stamps on and the main part (with the picture and signature on) to them and that's it and they accepted that. The RFE was because I didn't include proof of the flights etc to match the stamps. We posted the reply yesterday morning so fingers crossed we don't have much longer to wait.

Hum... I don't quite get it. I don't see how they would confirm that all the copies of the individual pages belong to the same passport. The page numbers wouldn't absolutely connect each page to the same passport. Does USCIS actually requires copies of all pages, or this is just a suggestion? I'd save some paper if possible. Lol

Let's say, how would page 17 (that has no stamps or a form of eye readable id) confirm or proof that page 8 (the one with the stamps i need them to see) belongs to my passport. In my case I won't be sending page 17 unless USCIS requires it.

What they do is match up the dates of the stamps to boarding passes and flight confirmation

Along with all the forms i sent in letters of intent to marry, passport stamps and pictures of us together.

Sent in passport stamps and lots of pictures of ya together. My mistake as only found out afterward that it wasn't going to be enough.

That list of things you've included with the cover letter looks sufficient. Do you have any photographs of those visits together (not necessary, just wondered if you had any)?

The most important aspect of the I-129f (other than showing you are free and able to marry) is proving that you've met one another within the last 2 years from petition date.

No I just sent in lots of pics of us and passport stamps so I guess it's my mistake that the RFE was issued. All photos, passport stamps and flight itinerarys match up. I could only find 2 boarding pass tho as I've never kept them before.

Hi those that know me know that we have had a nightmare with USCIS since July but won't go in to that now as we now have been alerted via Email and text that a RFE was sent out on September 3rd. Our online status also changed to show this so I believe it is been sent this time. Anyway we strongly suspect it is for more proof of meeting so I have included the cover letter below which details all the stuff I could find to send them and would like to know if it is good enough? Also is letters from friend who good jobs such as school principle and working for NASA a good idea as well? Thank you..

Great the lovely people at the USCIS have again said they will resend the RFE on September 3rd. What a waste of time!!!!

Its about to be 2 months since my RFE was "sent" . Randomly online my status changed to "initial review and address changed" which , I never moved. I called them and they said it was an automated system to ignore it. A couple days after I received a letter "receipt notice" but I received thag back in January when I filed. I'm beyond confused. I made a info pass appt and I pray I receive information here. I also emailes my senator and tomorrow morning ill be calling my congressman.

I really so nees him here due to my physical disabilities , caring for my daughter is becoming very hard. And I can't really work. Its all so frustrating

Your doing the correct thing by getting your congressmans office involved and booking a INFOPASS. After the meeting at least you know exactly whats going on with your case and what will be done about it.

I am afjusting from F1. My online status on uscis website shows that a RFE has been mailed to me on August 20, 2013. I did not received any text or email notification for the RFE niether I have received it in the mail yet. I tried calling uscis tiwice and they asked me to wait for 15 days for the RFE to arrive. If not received in 15 days form the day it was send, contact us again and wie will resend it to your address. Considering other peoples experience with RFE shared in this post, I am highly confused what to do? Infopass appointment is not going to make any sense as they will ask me the same thing " wait for RFE" This is getting really frustrating.

Sounds to me they are not mailing out the letter to you at all. They said on phone to us twice that they RFE was mailed out but at INFOPASS the officers who looked at our case noted that both times the letter never actually left the building at all and got on the phone and confirmed that to us hence why they now put it to a supervisor to deal with us. I would recommend you first call your local congressmen or women and tell them whats happend to you and then book a INFOPASS at your local USCIS office. When you are face to face with a officer it appears things actually get done.

As many of you know me and my fiancée are currently involved in a RFE fiasco with the USCIS. A quick re cap basically was issued a RFE on July 30th which never arrived so we called and had it resent but again never arrived. So today was had a INFO PASS and at info pass the officer looked at our details and said we was issued a RFE but WAS NEVER SENT and again that it was noted a RFE was again suppose to be sent on the 15th but again WAS NEVER SENT! Our case has now been passed to a supervisor but I'm very angry that the USCIS has actually wasted a whole month of our lives by simply not bothering to send the letters at all! The supervisor is now going to decide if the case should be accepted or a RFE does need to be issued. This is a major mistake on the USCIS part as letters never left the office twice!!

Was told at meeting RFEs where issued but never sent! Our case is now in the hands of a supervisor. Stunned.

We have our INFOPASS this afternoon so fingers crossed that something is actually done about this fiasco.

So you are not on the line when this happens.

Also my fiancée emailed me over the email they sent her after the 2nd phone call and it states in that email the RFE is being resent.

How have you called when you are in the UK? Do you conference call?

My fiancée in America calls them and then has to wait for ages for a tier 2 officer to call back.

I totally agree with you. For being so familiar to RFEs, I too think there's no RFE.

BTW I only got things done when I called late at night and had a supervisor on the phone.

But both times we have called and spoke to a tier 2 officer they have said a RFE has been issued.

If you are the beneficiary, then you can't do anything. The USC must be chasing all this down, and contacting her congressman. You don't have a congressman... A congressman isn't going to care about what a foreign national wants. You've got this all mixed up.

My fiancée who is the USC is calling the congressmen and dealing with them not me. I've just been getting all the info and sending it to her as she is at work at moment.

Are you signed up for text/email commnication? Only asking because we were and when we got our RFE I got an email with a PDF attached explaining my RFE and I got an actuall same letter about a week later.

Yea I signed up to receive emails but never go one. My finance has got email from them but only NOA1 and email confirming she had called them on August 15th. We are going to call our congressmen tomorrow as I emailed his office and they said to call them. People may think I'm mad but I run 3 businesses in London and I am never one for sitting around and waiting. I know its a long process but to be made to wait a month for a letter is not on.

It just says the online thing isn't working for your case (which is not a problem).

I really think you are chasing a phantom RFE. ANyone else think so?

How did you come to believe you had one? A Tier one person said this?

Both times we called and got calL back from a tier 2 officer they said we had been issued a RFE.

You online status "changed" but it didn't say RFE on it? You needed to call and find out why? I thought an RFE said "we send you a request for evidence." What did your status change say?

I suspect there is no RFE. 3 months from start to RFE is not a realistic timeline. Your case was probably transferred or something.

I know you have started many threads on this, but the details are scattered. Would you re-write a concise summary of the dates and all steps, if you spoke to a Tier 2 person or just the first level, if your name is on your mailbox, etc.

We filed in April and received NOA1 on April 25th

On July 30th my online status changed so we called USCIS on August 1st to find out why.

They said that on July 30th a RFE was sent out.

We did not receive RFE after 15 days so called again and they said they would resend again.

We received a letter in post saying about the phone call we had a few days before and a email saying the same.

No RFE arrives in post again.

On advice of a friend who is a lawyer we went online and booked a INFO PASS which is on Monday 24th.

We have spoke to tier 2 officers twice.

They have correct email address and correct address to send letters to as we have received everything else via them they just don't seem to be sending any RFEs in post like they said they would and no emails with regards to RFEs.
