  1. Hi everyone,

New update: After a long wait, I finally got my permanent resident card yesterday in the mail.

On 2/23, 2018, i got an email saying that they ordered my new card.

On 2/27, another notification via email stating that they mailed my new card.

On 3/2, I got it in the mail.

I didn't file for N-400, and won't do it for a while. Personally, I don't have the rush to do it.

Could anyone please update my status in our forum? Thanks.

I filed the ' case out of processing time' inquiry, and received a letter in the mail saying that ' adjudication pending' .

    Hi,

I have a question for everyone who has placed an E-request due to "being out of processing time."

How did you receive the e-Request response?  I only got a response via E-mail a few weeks ago, but people like sv80 received a letter in the mail.

I never received a letter in the mail, and that kinda makes worry me a bit. I moved in october, and even though I updated my mailing address right away, not receiving this E-request response in the mail makes me doubt they updated my address correctly.

To those who placed an E-request, how did you receive the response? email? US mail? both?

    THANKS!

  3. I filed an E-request due to Outside Normal Processing times. Two weeks later, I got a response via email stating that my case was currently being adjudicated, and that I will receive a notice of action* within 45 days.

What does it mean adjudicated? Does that mean that my I751 application got transferred to my local USCIS office for processing? or is still in CA?

Thank you for all your help!

  4. Good morning!

am i missing something here? I dont understand why people in this forum is freaking out. As long as we have the 1-year extension letter, we are fine, am i right? I know my card is expired, but that fact hasn't brought any problem in my daily life. I live here, I work here, and everything seems fine to me. I am in ROC status, and I am safe, right?
If my current status allows me to stay here legally, why should I be concerned? I want to hear why people are concerned THANK YOU, I really appreciate your insights on this matter

  5. Hi

We are changing our address. I already filled out AR-11. Now, for my wife, she has to fill out I-865 form (sponsor's change of address). The problem is, when she filled out the I-134 (affidavit of support) she put her maiden name. Now, she doesn't have that (last) name anymore, she has my last name now.

Will that be a problem? Will this be a discrepancy therefore they will return her form?

    Thanks in advance!

  6. Hi everyone,

I came here in January 2014 with a K-1 visa. Applied for AOS in February. I finally got my work permit in April. I was not covered by any health insurance company until May, when I finally got a job and I could afford health insurance policy. Since Jan- until May, I was uninsured, but I didn't get a final decision on my permanent residence status during that time.

Do I have to pay the fee for not having health care coverage for four months? Those four months I was waiting for my work permit/green card to be processed.

    Thanks in advance!

You will also need a letter to explain how you qualify for AP which is included underneath and can be found here
    is this really necessary?

I didn't include this letter, and I got i-131 approved without any problems. I think you may include it if you know specifically your dates of your trip.

  9. When I submitted AOS packages, I divided the package in three, so I sent 3 packages in ONE envelope.

1 package for I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status,

1 package for I-765 Application for Employment Authorization
1 Package for I-131 Application for travel document
Every package with the corresponding papers for each application, I put a paper clip in each one, so they were visible divided. I didn't mix any document together, so I sent one copy of our marriage certificate for each form (so three in total)

The following thread helped me a lot
  10. Why not prepare a statement with big bold title "Explanation of Different Addresses" and include everything that you've just said above?

    I agree with TBoneTX

Also, you should put it like this:

Physical or Current address: Your graduate student address

Mailing address: The one you have in Chicago.

Minnesota address: forget about this one, so you don't have to worry about having so many addresses.

Ultimately, USCIS needs a mailing address to send you their letters, and they need to know where you live.

    :)

  11. Congratulations to you both. It's great to see some NPIW approvals at long last.

I wonder if we might use both of your cases to try and answer a question about expiring medicals please? What date did you have your medicals on? Were they over a year old when you were approved?

    Thanks and congratulations once again.

Date for my medicals was 12/05/2013. Almost a year!

This medicals were taken back in Colombia though, and it was part of the K1 visa process.

  12. Hello guys! I received the Welcome Notice or Letter from USCIS today! I am just so happy I was screaming! Haha! I felt so inspired I decided to put up our Christmas tree! Such a relief! I hope you guys get your Welcome notice soon as well.

Did you get an email about card production? Does this notice tell you when to expect to receive your card?

I guess we all are getting updates, but not the same ones
