    If someone with Green Card wants to apply for Citizenship and her five years like a Permanent Resident is in August. Is possible to apply a few months before she complete 5 years with her Green Card?? (Her initial process wasn't trough marriage). How long can apply in advance for Citizenship before turns five years with The Permanent Resident Card?? Thank you

      She can apply 4 years and 9 months from the date of issue on her GC.

    My fiancé has submitted our papers for his petition for me. That is the K1 application he submitted that to Dallas Texas last March 14, 2014 .It's been almost 2 months and he haven't receive any letter of notification that the documents that he sent to USCIS is receive. Can somebody tell me what's the possible reason for that . Because it should be sent to him 2 to 3 weeks after he sent that documents.

      You said that he did not receive NOA1 yet? He needs to check the status of delivery of USPS or Fedex, UPS, etc to see whether they deliveried. Can you check whether USCIS cashed the check or money order (340 dollar). If they did cash, then call USCIS. It might be lost in the mail.

      Biometrics is before interview. It is 50/50 chance between interview waiver and interview. It is hard to tell when we can have interview. Did you apply I-485 in 2012? If you did, then why it takes more than 1.5 years without green card?

    when my wife entered, her green card is indicated to expire in 2 years and i want to know what am suppose to do. Is it that she will be qualify to apply for US citizenship? i thought with CR1 is suppose to be 10 years. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. thanks

      She needs to file Lift Condition I-751 within 90 days before expiration date. For example: Her green card will expire on April 2016, then she needs to file I-751 around January -April 2016. Your wife can only receive Green Card that expires in 10 years if the date you guys were married to the date your wife comes to US is more than 2 years. For example: you guys married in April 2014, and your wife comes to US after April 2016.

      Actually, you got NOA2 from them? Big Congratulations for you guys. Note that TSC has longer time to get NOA2 by mail. It usually takes 2-4 weeks to get it. Your fiance will receive a text or email that says the file has shipped to NVC later. Be Patient.
