  1. I had only one visit, before petitioning. Although, I stayed almost 4 weeks. Also at interview, my husband explained that I was in the process of returning when he got approved for his interview, so we saved money by instead of paying for me to visit, we would save for him to come hone

  2. Yes, he had a drivers license here in Pennsylvania, for a year, pending his AOS, which we filed originally in April, was accepted in May. So in January it was set to expire, he was told that they would not renew it without a green card, that the pending AOS meant nothing, even though the original license was issued with the K1 visa and a marriage license. I had to call the DMV at the state Capitol, and get them to call explain that they could indeed renew his drivers license

  3. Yes for the first rejection, I sent them a copy of the I-485, the man I spoke to at the service center told me to with a note attached explaining it was filed with the I-765, since I hadn't yet received the receipt notice for I-485 when I spoke to him, the next day the receipt notice showed up in the mail, so I sent that too.

Sent it once again, this time without the copy of the I-485, and still with the receipt notice and another note stating that this was filed concurrently with the I-485, so there is no fee! Honestly feel like it would be easier to pay the fee, but at this point, the AOS will probably be done before the I-765 even gets looked at!

  4. Oh, I did send the noa for the I-485 and the letter with the appointment notice for the biometrics, it's like they didn't look at anything just looked for the fee and sent it rejected, this time, I put the noa for the I-485 on the top! Fingers are crossed! Unfortunately, since the check I sent was electronically cashed there is no canceled check to send!!!

  5. Oh, my!!! I am not sure who they have opening mail at the USCIS! Resubmitted the damn I-765 authorization to work, been waiting to see some progress, today I get a rejection notice for the I-765 and for the I-485, again saying for no fees sent! THey clearly have cashed the check! So I read further to find out why... When I resubmitted the damn I-765, I included a copy of the I-485, evidently the person opening the mail assumed this was an original petition, even though I clearly sent a letter and a highlighted instruction form stating that I didn't have to pay their fee! Now I am waiting for the tier 2, person to call me back, hoping the stupid rejection letter for the second I-485 isn't going to effect the original!!!!!!!!

  6. Yeah, we double and triple checked it. Also it says that all the supporting documents were sent back to us... Only thing that is there with it is a copy of the envolope I sent it in and the form to have notifications. So I copied my husbands passport page for identification and his visa, got two more passport photos, added a copy of the I-485, a copy of the NOA for I-485, a copy of page 9 instructions with the section saying the fee is waived highlighted, and a copy of the canceled check, showing the payment for the I-485 along with a letter explaining that they screwed up!

  7. Yeah I filed it with the I-485, and all the other forms for AOS, I haven't received the reciept letter yet for my I-485, do you think I need to wait for it to send this back to them??? I did get the email message and when I look online it says that I should be getting the biometrics appointment in the mail soon.

I do have copies of the I-485, I will definitely attach it!

I do have copies of the I-485, I will definitely attach it!

  8. Ok, WTH, is going on with the USCIS??? I sent in our AOS packet, checked everything a billion times just like with the K!! Today in the mail I received a Rejection Notice for our I-765, It stated.... Your I765, fees, and supporting documentation is being returned to you for the following reason..

The check amount is incorrect, or has not been provided. Please review the form instructions for fee information. Please resubmit the packet with the fees, to the address provided,

I called them, because I read several times that there is no fee when filed with AOS, which is exactly what I did! They told me that I am to attach a sticky note, telling them that I don't need the fee cause it was filed with the AOS!

My question is, there is none of the supporting evidence that a I765. should be sent in with, and it was all sent DO I have to send more info in because of that
