  1. Hi i saw on your timeline that u just had your interview but then proceeded to cfo to have the seminar? So your still waiting for your visa right? I am also waiting for my visa to be issued and thinking if i can proceed to cfo already but i am hesitating that they wont allow me. So they let you? So it means i can go now to cfo even if i am waiting for my visa to issue? I have a copy of my passport though,

Hello, yes you can go ahead with the cfo seminar even your original passport is with USEM still, they will let you.. Just have the photocopy of your passport. They will give you the certificate after the seminar and when we have our visa on hand then we have to go back to the cfo along with the issued certificate and they will put the sticker on our passport. Its really up to you, if you do the cfo without your visa or when you have the visa.. Since, i have the time while waiting so i carried on with the seminar and made use of my vacancy.wink.png

  2. Congrats!good.gif

Had my CFO seminar last Aug.28 and it was good and fun. I have learned a couple of stuffs during the seminar. I was there almost 5am and there was a long line already for the K1 and spouse visas. They let us in past 7am. I prepared original & photocopies of my 2 valid govt ID's and a passport copy. i just informed them that my passport is in USEM still. Then, we went up to the 3rd floor. We were given our respective rooms for each applicant's country destination after we filled up the registration form and handed back to them.

We had our one on one interview 1st before the orientation.. Our counsellor said better to do the one on one 1st so while doing our seminar at least our certificates were ready and printed already by the time we were done. I spent less than 5 minutes only for the interview, the counsellor just asked me; how did i meet my fiance, what's his work and my college degree/profession. She did mostly the sharing of her love story actually and i just listened. And she later asked a photocopy of the passport of my fiance. That was it!smile.png

Dont forget to bring some food to nibble in between and a water/drink.. our counsellor was so nice and understanding, she allowed us to do so.. we started from 9am-1pm..

  3. During the application of our l-129F last Dec.'12, i wrote my Abu Dhabi address as my present address on all my application forms and Philippines as my home address.. I came home to the Philippines end of Feb.'13 for good and from thereon, everything i fill-in is my Philippines' home address.. So far, there was no issue about it..

Just dont forget to obtain a police clearance from Dubai at least before your UAE Residence visa will be cancelled.. It would be of your advantage to have it on hand, just like what i did.. wink.png

    Good luck! smile.png

  4. Ugh..this is really beginning to suck :( I called also and they said I should call back Thursday to reschedule. Hopefully we both get a schedule before August ends. I so regret rescheduling the original interview date. We were supposed to be schedule for August 29....such a wrong move ;(

Hi Jayann, i met ur fiance Jay, today morning at USEM. i was next to him on the queu.. :-)

  5. This is really so frustrating and stressful. I was there at 6am today along with so many applicants, we were all wet and dripping and within the area were flooding. Had to walked back to the hotel with my bare feet (had to take off my high heels!) and the water was almost on my knee level. No admin staff in the embassy were present except the security guard who told us that our appointment are cancelled and just to call USEM or visit the website for rescheduling! Is that it? After the trouble and most stressful trip ive been through! 1st, my flight to manila was delayed for 6hrs yesterday and wasnt almost able to land bec of the poor visibilty so the pilot has to make a 2nd attempt to try to land. Thank God we made it! And Now i am stucked again here in the airport have to wait tomorrow for my flight back to my place. Pffftt! I know this situation is beyond our control, what to do?! But wait and wait i guess for an appointment again and who knows? I cant even make a new sked today but only after 24hrs.. (Sigh) Its prolonging the agony! Nevetheless, i thank God that we are safe and still all in 1 piece though. We just hang on there on our journey! This is my story., :-)

  6. i jsut payed my visa ,im confused now coz when i tried to set an appointment fro interview it says der that wait for mail from NVC .since we jsut got our MNL case number through phone call what should i do ...?do i really need to wait for that letter?some says as long as u hav MNL ur fine but now im really confused pls help...

Hi, did you try to make an appointment over the phone? or Online? As far as my experience went, I made my appointment online using the acknowledgement receipt from BPI and have indicated my manila case number without the NVC letter yet. Just to ease my mind, I have also called the USEM by phone to reconfirm my sked and they did confirmed it.

Somehow after a couple of days, I have received the letter from USEM Manila via Air21 courier delivered to my place.

For additional info, try to check this link from Hank_.. He is a big help to everyone here. good.gifhttp://visaconnection-philippines.com/#

  7. Can anyone recommend a good hotel to stay at? One that actually has free wifi since most of these hotels are liars. Had 2 bad experiences where we stayed in a hotel only to find out that we have to pay to use the wifi.

    Hi Jayann & jay,

Good luck! I have the same interview date with your Fiance on 20th. We will do just fine! good.gif

I am booked to stay at Bay view park hotel across the USEM. smile.png

  8. when you are done filling up the form, and ready to be print then you can click the print, it will show you an option on how you would like it to be print (select destination), click the save as PDF. it will direct you on where you want your document to be filed. you can save your file (the filled-up form) on your USB and print it later when you want it. pls note that when you do a print out at the cafe, make sure that in the preview, it should be "document and markups" so your input data will be printed also. or just ask help from the attending person in the cafe. smile.png

hope this will works on you..wink.png

  9. Hmm, well we obviously are not going to get that before a Wednesday medical, so do you think they will accept the interview appointment confirmation and a scanned copy of the NOA2? We do have the MNL case number, just not printed on any letter.

    See my question above.

As far as I know, St. Luke is still going to ask for the NVC letter. (An emailed or mailed letter from NVC)

Try to send a request email at the same time give NVC a call. That was what we did. And they got back to us in 3 days time on email. I have an emailed and mailed letter now. Maybe you will get a reply just in time for your fiancee medical.

  10. Okay, I just re-read Hank's guide, and upon that closer look, it sounds like he's saying you don't actually need the NVC email to go to the medical, and that you can use your interview appointment confirmation email instead. So that gives me a little more breathing room with that second option.

Well, we still need the NVC status letter for the medical. I have called St. Luke and they told me to bring the NVC status letter with the details of the petition (like names of the petitioner & beneficiary, USCIS Receipt no., Manila case #) and the interview appointment confirmation and the online registration form from St. Luke.

And since that time we have not received yet our hard copy of the NVC status letter, we sent our request to NVC. It would be handy to have these requirements on hand. Now, I am good and ready for my medical this coming wednesday. smile.png

  11. As the question says. I got the case number today (wow, fast - got the NOA2 Monday), but need confirmation via email for the medical, per guru Hank's guidelines. biggrin.png

We got our manila case # on July 18 and was ready at USEM Manila on July 22. We sent a request email to NVC for the details of my petition and they replied on our email on July 25 so it took only 3 days.. And at the same time we received the hard copy of the NVC letter on the same date July 25. smile.png

  12. Hi,

Further to the link that Freelibrary gave you, please bring also your passport coz the bank will ask you for that for verification. I just made the payment last 17th.

I agree again with Freelibrary, the moment i received my NOA2, i was already filling up the DS forms but no signature yet till now. smile.png My interview date will be on Aug. 20.
    Good luck to you guys..good.gif
  13. So will you receive another notice via email or text for case number and transfer, or do you just have to keep calling?

You may check your case status at USCIS website for the transfer notice. As for the case number, we kept on calling NVC about it for the past days. We called them for 3 times already today and at long last on the 3rd call, got our case number just 2 hours ago.

its wise also to keep on calling them to check your case number status.

You will get yours too, soon.
