Just sharing.Got my biometrics June then receive my appointment letter for interview October scheduled november.

In my case,i emailed hk consulate and after 3 days they responded to me they transferred my case,After 7 days manila embassy emailed me that i should process my visa.Better email both embassy...hope this helped.

NSO must send it directly to HK US embassy.yes it will take 3-8 weeks.But there's a way to request it faster thru western union with additional pay that will be delivered in 3-4 days.But if you still have a lot of time 8 weeks is not that long.Once they receive that and your checklist is complete.They will inform you of your interview date.So you cannot hand carry your cenomar.Hope this help.
