It always goes to NVC, even if the letter states that it is forwarded to the listed consulate. it might take upto 2 weeks for NVC to receive the documents.
Is there a way to track it? How do you know it has been received by the NVC and sent to the ambassy?
It's been 14days that we are waiting since we have received our NOA2. Do you think it is normal?

Are you talking about the I 797 notice of action? Is it not the famous and mysterious NOA2? If yes, I am in the same boat than you and it is been 14 days. So we called the NVC, the French ambassy and the USCIS and without any result. I am waiting for answers. As soon as I hear something, I let you know. I know how tough it is...
Unfortunately, I read somewhere that it has to be sent to the NVC and then, they send it to your ambassy or consulats. So, if I have understood everything, the process will last 4 additional months!!! but I don't understand why they have written that they have forwarded the I797 to "the listed consulate". It doesn't make any sense.
anyway...good luck to you and hang on!!!!The end of all of this is close

Hey everybody,
I am in the same boat. The DOS sent our approval and said that they sent our I 129F package to the French ambassy on the 5th July. But I received an email from them, saying that we are not not in their computer system so far (and we are 19th July!!!!).
Plus, when we filled the I129 f form, I stupidly wrote Bordeaux consulate (which doesn't issue visas) instead of Paris Ambassy. Do you guys think that this mistake will have consequencies?
What can I do?
Thanks for your answers!!

Thank you for your answer and your link, it cheers me up
I hope they will process our petition as fast as they did to you. Congrats for your NOA2!! Keep me (or us) updated about your process!
Good luck for the next step!

Hi everyone,
I am new member and I first wanted to thank you all for giving so many helpful informations about the horribly long and complicated K1 process! It is good to feel less lonely....
So my fiancé and I get our NOA1 in February and we recently received an update on our case saying that our petition was transferred to an office (where? I have no clue) than to a local office and now it has been transferred again but to Texas Service Center (notice that our office is Vermont). Does anyone has an idea of what is going on? Something similar happened to you?
Needless to say that I am very worried about this...
RECEIVED HARD COPY FOR NOA2 BUT CONFUSED!
