  1. I assume you have passed the medical, and if so..,.way to go! Would not want to see anybody get caught up in the "Sputum fiasco" that St. Luke's is famous for, as on certain weeks the doctors seem to find "suspicious" on 30 to 50% of X-rays. My wife is from Cebu, she was "suspicious" and I had sent her to an indepenent clinic, for a chest X-ray, a few weeks before, and was read as "clear"..,.,then St. Luke's.,.,.,saw,.,.,. draw your own conclusions.,.,..,

Anyway, a big congrats to a job well done.,,..Filipino wives are great!

Oh man, yeah, heard about that fiasco thing back some years ago. Lucky we weren't on that batch! Yup, Filipino wives are great and on our first year of marriage here is the most important lesson I've learned: "Happy wife, Happy home." Lol

    Cheers mate

  2. Wow congrats! hope we will also have a safe sailing interview. Any tips?

Tips? There's just too much. Here are two things I did: overload on all docs, pictures, chat logs, airplane tickets together (travel), overload on everything and make sure your civil documents are ALL updated. Number two, obsessed on VJ. Read, read and read! Haha goodluck on your interview! Cheers

    Congratulations! =)

Hey, you guys, thanks! :-) Good luck on yours! Cheers

    Congratulations.

Thanks bkghosh! Good luck on your upcoming interview. Cheers!

  4. Congrats to you man. That is great news. It just puzzles me how they ask for allot from some and hardly anything from others. That is just weird to me, I guess it depends on who you get. That is just great news for you, we have our interview in Manila on the 24th of June. I just hope we get the same result as you did. We have been married almost six years, so I am so hoping that will be taken into account.

Confession: I kind of eavesdropped lol I noticed that if the relationship is kind of new, the Consul really digs deep. I heard in one of the lines (you'll actually hear it, their mics are clear), one Consul comment, "So you recently just met and got married, your relationship moved fast." Oh man, poor girl, her face blushed. I can tell she felt humiliated when she was told to get a seat and wait for her number to be called again.

Nobody really knows what the Consul will ask from you but I guess I'm one of those guys, never take chances. Besides, PI is a high fraud country. In my opinion, my presence and given the circumstances I've been living in PI with my wife for 8 months now, that helped a lot. With you guys married for 6 years, establishing a bonafide relationship shouldn't be a problem. Might focus more on your AOS, finances and domicile in the states. Good luck on your upcoming interview! Cheers

  5. Hi.. they only asked for year 2012 and 2013? I thought they will be needing 2011, 2012 and 2013? My hubby has his 2012 and 2013. I asked him to find his 2011 tax return but looks like he mispalced it somewhere

Yes, I was asked for my 2012 and 2013 but it won't hurt to bring 2011, too. You won't know for sure which year the consul would ask for. A couple ahead of us was asked for 2011 w2's, 1040 and tax transcript and they didn't have it. They were given a white form and was told to submit the missing doc with the white form.

    Congratulations.

    Thanks! Cheers.

  6. Wow congrats :) .. Can u pls tell me wat they need and ask? My interview is on may 19At us embassy manila

These are vital documents "in my experience":

Year 2012 and 2013 all w2, 1040 and tax transcripts.

Check and double check your beneficiary's name on his/her birth certificate and other civil documents (nbi, marriage certificate, et.al.) I have seen three today turned away and was asked to get new NBI clearances with one missing letter and also those with "junior" on their names. All civil documents should match the names on their passport.

Talk about "overloading", yes, bring as many pictures and chat logs and phone logs as you can. One woman was turned away for having printed only 20 pages of chat logs and another lady was told to come back as she had only brought 8 pictures of her and her fiance together. So, I would really suggest for Manila Consulate, overload.

    Congratulations :)

I hope I can post something like this soon ;P

Thanks! Yes, of course you will. Positive! Cheers.

  7. I am sorry to hear all you've gone through. Thank you for sharing your experience (as painful as it may be) so that other people can be warned and see what some of the red flags are. It's those kind of filipino women who give good filipino women a bad name. It was good you listened to your friend and from that unfolded what the real score is. I agree with the rest of the comments that you should contact US embassy. I hope that you'll be able to move on with your life and find love again.

  8. hey my husband dont have income as well. did you put $0 income in your i864? he dont have itr for the past three years and will use his dad as joint sponsor... help!! need to know how to answer the i864.. on the part where they ask the incomes.

Yes. Your husband will still fill up the I-864 even if he has "$0" income. Your father in law will fill up another I-864 and then your mother in law will fill up I-864A. Hope this helps.

    Cheers.

  9. Hey all just stumbled across this....

So if your joint sponsor is married there spouse has to complete a i864 aswell?

In my case my brother in law has filed a i 864 and so has my wife since we are both in uk at the moment and have no USA based income. so should my sister in law fill out a i 864 aswell....?

    Okay, let's do this.

    Facts of your case:

Your wife is the USC but you both live in UK so no US income there, your wife will still fill I-864 form

Now, you have your brother in law as your joint sponsor, yes, he will fill another I-864

Is your brother in law married? Yes.

And so, your sister in law will fill out the I-864A form. Remember not to confuse the I-864 from the I-864A.

The I-864A is for your sister in law.

    Good luck.
