THANKS FOR ALL THE KIND WORDS and notes of congratulations! Oh I know the hard part is just beginning. I know it will be a big adjustment for all of us. His flight arrives TOMORROW! Wow, he's not wasting any time getting here! Inchallah by tomorrow afternoon we will be a complete family!

My husband called this morning and told me he got the call to come and get his visa today! He was called to bring his passport in on Feb. 7. We have been waiting in limbo for 5 weeks. I called, I emailed, I sicked my senator on them. Nothing would make them move faster. It was a painful lesson in patience! My husband will call me later to let me know his flight plans.

I am so pissed right now, I have been crying for almost an hour now. For the person I PM, dont worry about responding.
I want to throw my hands up and say ###### it but I love my Fiance. I am so upset I got him upset and started cussing at him and telling him off, the poor man was speachless. I did appoligize for my actions but CASA was and is wrong. I get an email thru my Senator that says the visa was issued then I get an email today via IVcasa...telling me we are in AP. We had been in AP since early part of February. Why in the hell contact him and get our hopes up high that he would get his visa in a week then send me a dumn ### answer telling me that we are in AP.
I am so damn tired of Casa right now that I could go there and knock down everyone in my path until I see Mr. McKeever and knock the ###### out of him. I am appoligize for my language.
I am so tired of being screwed and lied to.
Can someone please explain this to me because I am not comprehending this at this time?
Thanks for letting me vent, I feel a little better but I am still pissed.
I know EXACTLY what you are going through! My husband was called to turn in his passport on Feb.7 and I called the US Dept of State the same day. I was told that his name check was complete and clear at that time. I have sent 6 emails to the consulate and have been given the same canned response about needing additional administrative processing in the US. I have called three times and gotten the same reply as the emails....until yesterday. Yesterday I spoke with a woman who told me she is familiar with my case (must have been the emails!) and that nothing is wrong, we would get a call in a couple of days. Well, TODAY my husband got the call! Hang in there. It was 5 weeks to the day from the time he turned in his passport to now. I have no idea why sometimes it takes that long and sometimes they will issue the visa within a few days! It's enough to drive you crazy.

You are lucky, they have never responded back to one of my e-mails, not one. So you must have some luck I don't have when you send them e-mails.
Strange....I don't feel very lucky right now!

CONGRATULATIONS! This just makes me want to cry.

That is wonderful news! I can't believe you actually got an email that said something other than their canned response:
Thank you for your email inquiry. Your husband’s case requires additional administrative processing which takes place in the United States. As soon as the processing is completed he will be notified.
Regards,
IV Casablanca
It doesn't matter what I write, how nice or nasty I am, or how many times I have emailed (6). The response is always the same. I'm hoping my senator will get a useful response.

oh my husband had a very good time at the MEET UP.
he got to meet the other husbands it was totally exciting hearing the husbands talk about us. my husband called me while they were at the resturaunt.
Glad to hear that

Another one to add to the list...flygirlalbny went to Morocco for the K1 interview with her fiance..interview was yesterday. I spoke with her yesterday and he received 221g stating petition has been returned to the United States. Same consular officer "Kim"...refused to look at any of their proof of relationship from the time the petition was filed up to present date. She will probably post more info when she returns.
For those who have expressed interest in the group, please look for an invite shortly, we are ready. Shokran.

Was this denial for validity of relationship?

The senator's office got my paperwork, but I still have not heard anything about my husband's visa. TODAY IS 4 WEEKS SINCE HE TURNED HIS PASSPORT IN TO THE CONSULATE. I was told it would be 3-4 weeks. so where the @#$% is it??? [venting]

Count me in! I'm in the Dallas area too. I like to get together with others in my same shoes. However, my husband is one who really doesn't want to connect with other Moroccans just because they are Moroccan.

My husband was asked about his occupation every step of the way. His passport says "sports instructor." He is a 6th degree martial arts master. At the interview, the consular asked about his profession and also told him to bring back his certificates and photos of him with his students. He also wanted to see his passport stamps where he had traveled in Europe and Asia. My husband seems to think it is very important that there be some sort of profession on the passport, but it seems there are several on here for whom it has not made a difference.

Today is the 25th day casa has had my husband's passport. AR has been FINISHED since before Feb. 7th (according to the Dept of State), when they called to to tell him to bring his passport in. Is there ANYONE who has had a problem once they asked for the passport? I thought this means the visa will definitely be issued, but I'm not sure of anything anymore when it concerns this consulate. I faxed a letter and release form to my senator on Friday so that he can check on this for me. I'm going to need a good psychiatrist if this goes on much longer.

Yes, let's get this pinned!

I would have called the police last night and asked if they sent someone to my house for some reason. If not, I would still report the incident to them. I doubt it was someone bad. Bad people would not be so loud and obvious. Go ahead and call the police and put your mind at ease.

man.....approved

I've seen it take from a couple of days to about a month on here. It shouldn't be long now.
Thanks for answering my question. Thanks to everyone else for the congrats too! I almost forgot I am supposed to be happy. lol I'm such a pessimist. I am having trouble being happy until my husband actually has the visa in his hand!
-
The consular in Morocco didn't even look at the letter I provided or even the whole affidavit of support. I spent $111 to get the package to my husband before his interview. What a waste.

Successful interview, AR only took one week, casa called for his passport........now another week has passed. How long does it usually take for the visa to actually get in the applicant's hand?

Fill out your tax return, fill out the W7 (request for taxpayer ID number). Staple the W7 to the top of the tax return and mail. He will have to be here to sign both forms, or send them to him to sign and return to you.
