  1. Hello VJers,

My husband sent is AOS application in March and he received his EAD card on 07/15/15. He also received a NPIW on 7/27/15

but we didnt hear anything since then. On 10/21/15 we called USCIS and spoke to a Tier 2 officer and he said we should have

heard something already and our file was transferred to the our local Houston office on 10/15/15 for final decision. He then

put in a inquiry on our behalf and told us that we should hear something from the local office in 15days. Today I check the USCIS

website and see the following below. Can anyone tell me what does this mean and what can we expect in the mail? Any helpful

    information would be appreciated.

  2. Hello I received this in my inbox today after the devastation of the news on Friday of my fiancé interview:

    Dear Madam:

    The proof of relationship

documents can be submitted by email. You may resubmit the

proof that was provided on the day of the interview in

    addition anything

other document available to you. The documents will then

be reviewed and your fiancé contacted. Examples

    are:

    Photos

    Phone records

    Money transfer receipts

    Insurance documents

    Letters/emails/cards/chat logs

    Petitioner’s passport

    pages

    Regards,

    Immigrant Visa Unit

I can pretty much see what I should send. is there anything else that would help strengthen this ask? Please only answer with sound advice not opinions if nothing else I still have hope!!

Thats very good news! When I sent my petition I sent western union receipt, digicel top up receipt, boarding passes, copies of my passport pages that showed I visit my fiance and pictures of the 2 of us while I was in Jamaica. Hope this help and all the best. I am pulling for you...

  3. My fiancé just had his interview. as explained we have a 20 year age gap. Although my fiancé answered all of his questions the CO said that it was not enough proof and is sending my petition back to the US. Is there anything that I can do at this point! or is all hope lost?

Sorry to hear that, I know its kinda hard to go through this process for all of this to go down the drain. Is it possible to get married and do the

spousal visa? It will take a little longer but atleast your chances are better and you should have alot more evidence by that time. Good Luck on whatever you decide to do...

  4. Good morning everyone!!!!!

So we had our interview and it was better than we had expected!!! We got approved on the spot!!!!! The IO didn't even ask that many questions just our names, DOB, address, when we got married, how many kids and believe it or not that was it!!!!!!! She did ask for bank statements which I gave her and offer pictures at what she replied that it wasn't necessary that she believed us!!!!! wow so easy. She said I will be getting my card in 2-4 weeks!!! Yayyy for me. The interview took less than 15 min!!!!!!!!!

    Congrats thats awesome!! :joy:

  5. Ead approve since June 19 got approval mail yet to receive card.No production order or updates.

    Hi Guys

My husband and I called USCIS yesterday and spoke to a tier 2 officer because we had received a RFE on 6/9 and we responded to it via UPS and we know it was received by USCIS because we tracked it and it says it was signed by someone in the office but yet there was no update on the website. I asked the tier 2 officer why the status wasn't changed online he said at this moment we should not depend on the website for updates because they do not have the time anymore to update online because they are so behind. He said the best thing to do is call customer service and check our mail box frequently. So hope this help a bit.

  6. Hi guys you are all welcome, we have to continue to share whatever information we can with each other because we don't know what will help. I did get a email this morning regarding my service request as well but they are telling me they are still waiting on my RFE response witch is not true because the website said they received it on May 15th. I am so mad, I have to call them first thing Monday morning. My hubby wants to work so bad and they need to get it together and approve his EAD.

  7. Sorry everyone...was out celebrating all night! We got approved and should have GC in two weeks!

The interview was quick and only lasted 20 minutes. She just asked how we met and where we got married..that's it. I was expecting way more questions than that lol. Checked our birth certificates and divorce papers...approved it in computer stamped our letter and sent us on our way :)

    wow! Congrats. Thats awesome...

  8. Hey everyone, it's now 8 days since my AOS was delivered and still no NOA1, should I be worried ? before I sent my package off I did post my cover page here for other people with experience to look over it but no one responded, so with my own confidence and hoping everything is ok I mailed it off.

    Hi HeandI

To be truthful there is not a specific time limit that I can give you to say you should receive a NOA1 because we are dealing with

USCIS here they march by the own beat of their drum. Sometimes its a week somtimes its 2 weeks and sometimes its more. It

all depends on how busy they are and who has your case. You should hear something soon though.

    Good luck!
