  1. well, I know you have heard it all before, but let me run this by you guys, and tell me what you all think.

for some strange reason, she has incomplete, and the box 'applicant will request an individual waiver based on religious or moral conditions" We sent this exact 3025 in, and did not get an RFE< because, she was pregnant when we filed this (has since miscarried, which comes into play later)

Few things. When we first went to the CS to get this transcribed, we thought she was pregnant AGAIN. We were due to see the OB/GYn that week, and she is missing the Rubella Vaccination (although as I understood, we need only 2 of the 3 MMRs, 2 of which she does have, and proof of immunity via blood test for the 3rd also, and the Russian transcription). Just so everyone knows, you do not get MMRs when

pregnant, as it can cause birth defects.

So, we find out she is not pregnant (or possibly miscarried again) and in comes the interview date fast. It is in less than a month, and we cant get into the CS in time for it now

NO RFE was sent to us, and we have proof of pregnancy and letter from doctor confirming miscarriage,as well as blood test results showing immunity to all MMRs

Now we are really confused what to do. We know we have an incomplete, but would have got a waiver. Now, we can not get to a CS in time for interview date.

  2. We have a problem

We jsut got out our interview date, and I looked at her medical records finally, and it has one vaccination missing (its not checked at all) Rubella.

Well, she had her proof of Rubella but I guess said Doctor did not check it, and so I guess it is 'incomplete'

Few things here. She is pregnant and you can not get Rubella whiel pregnant, because it will abort the baby.

I called USCIS. This fell on deaf ears. They didnt care, said she needed 693.

So I called Civil Surgeon, and they said "550 dollars for a new exam" REally? 550 more on top of this, and they said "we must give teh rubella"

I must be missing something here. Is USCIS andCS both claiming they must abort the baby so that we can do this green card application?

  3. There seems to be some confusion, and hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

The papers she has says she will get a SS# in the mail within 3 weeks. Three weeks has come today, and nothing. Is there somewhere I need to call or should I wait a bit longer?

My lawyer told me some wrong info I think, as I am reading more now, so any help.

We cant get married without that card as I see it, so are we stuck in limbo here, and can someone show me a link to the right place to ask these/read these questions?

  4. She is going to have about a 4-5 hourlayover in frankfurt, and then straight to Atlanta. I was trying to avoid any stops in new York City if at all possible.

Setp 6, 345PM, she will land in Atlanta ,Georgia, and I figure after customs and baggage, hugs and kissses, and a shuttle but, we will be in my car by 5pm, and then friday nigth traffic in Atlanta. Oh, those first impressions of Atlanta will keep her from ever wanting to go back. I live in Chattanooga, and DREAD coming to Atlanta.

  5. Interview was Aug 22. Took about 7 minutes. We had only 1 meeting, was never mnetioned at all.

They asked about our skype conversations, where I asked her to marry me, and about her Photo album. Nothing else. It was over before it started.

Now, I bought her tickets, Ekatarinberg (her city) to Frankfurt, to Atlanta . This is lufthansas only flight to US. Will this be a problem, since she has no visa for Germany and only for here?

  6. Our Status is still showing 'ready' and we emailed the embassy in Moscow, and they said they still do not have the petition.

After reading on these forums, and asking around, it seems this a longer than usual time period for this step in the process.

I paid for the interview already. She is in limbo, and it is killing herm, and I am not feeling so 'warm and fuzzy' either about this.

Can anyone tell me if there is something I am missing, or if this is a normal process

  7. I have always wondered the same thing. To me, it's crazy. In the 22 months from meeting to getting engaged, I visited my wife (then gf) in her country at least 10-12 times, for 3-5 days each. Grant it, it's only a 4-5 hour flight from NY to Costa Rica, not like trekking from midwest US to Eastern Europe. And even after all those trips and spending all that time together, I was not 100% sure that it was going to work out. There's so many cultural differences, so I just can't comprehend how people are willing to marry their skype gf/bf.

But if that's not scary enough, what about the people who are ready to marry without EVER meeting in person? Skype may be great and all, but there are too many people who are too good a scammers out there to rely only on a video chat. There are questions from time to time from people who have never met but are asking how they could bring their bf/gf over? And the only reason that they do eventually meet in person is to satisfy the CIS requirement.

And it seems that the common denominator for many (not all) who meet only once is money issues. Many of them seem like they are young (late teens, early 20's). Maybe it's their first real relationship and they fall head over heels and all. But being yound, they don't have the finances to travel to Europe or Asia to meet the person they want to marry. So again, agreeing with you, how will they support a wife (and possibly step kid(s)) when they can't afford to fly to their country to meet...

In the end, to each his own....

Sure, going to Central America compared to a 30 or more hour flight (each way), and that is if EVERYTHING goes perfectly (my trip was a nightmare, and I lost two full days due to Lufthansa on strike and the DNC convention re routing everything) So my 10 day trip turned into a 7 day trip very quick, since I also had to leave a little earlier because of the whole mess, is NOT a good comparison.

how can anyone even get the visa without ever meeting in person? I thought the requirement was ONE meeting, so why would you even go thru the process without ever meeting. since it is one of the FEW requirements.

  8. I am pretty sure that was not directed at me, as I never mentioned money as the problem for not visiting a 2nd time (and it was not, as I am comfortable in that regards)

For me, one visit was the proverbial 'icing on the cake' that I was sure. the 5-6 hours on SKype every single day, looking at houses thru Skype together, cooking together thru skype (God Bless Skype...lol). cooking the same meals together as we ingredients allowed, it was THOSE times that made me sure. When I started planning my garden in the backyard, she asked which vegetables grew in East Tennessee, and shared pictures of her parents garden (which I only saw in the late fall in person).

There is no 'time limit' on when you fall in love. It happens when it happens, right?

My reason fornot seeing ehr again, was 100% because my father. His sickness lasting so long, and his eventual death very recently, by the time the dust cleared on the funeral and tying up the loose ends, our NOA2 was in.

This woman changed my life in so many ways, aand did it from 12000 miles away. Cant wait to see what miracles she can do when she is in the same house every day.

  9. I have something similar to yours. We met once, in her city, I met her parents many times (with pictures of course) and I had been plannign a 2nd trip, but my father got sick, and eventually died this year in April.

So, I sent the death certificate, obituary (which has my name in it) and a letter explaing why we could not meet a 2nd time, and that i was saving my last week of vacation for when Svetlana came, so that we could spend a nice 10 days together here, getting her used to my house, the area i live in, etc..

We dont have a TON of pictueres together, like 20 or so, but they are of us together, and with her parents, and Have 1000s of pages of chats and letters.

As far as I can tell, all of my evidence is fine, and income is fine, and such, but I have this feeling, it depends on the mood of the interviewer.

  10. I finally got my US Bank Platinum card to go thru, but I had to call US Bank, and have them put Visa Verify on the card.

Svetlana does not know I finally figured this out ( I was closing a house during this process also, so I had some serious balls i was juggling), but the house closing was this morning, and I got to give this a few hours of my attention this afternoon, and finally got my receipt #.

  11. Ok, got a problem I tried putting all the info on, and it wont let me. Says bank wont allow it. I went to the bank wed to allow 'Non US purchases" and I called them today, and they said "if they had tried to access the account, and it failed because of a block or lack of funds, there woudl be a record in our logs, but nobody has tried"

So either I am using the wrong site, doing something very wrong when I try to pay, or the site is jsut not working right now?

can someone point me in the right direction for this please, so I can pay for the interview, and not have to burden her with the process

  12. Ok, here is my situation. My petition is now in Moscow, ready to roll. I am trying to pay for this, and found a website to pay for it with a credit card (it was a link from the embassy website)

I am reading the page with the credit card info, and it is asking for DOB and phoen #s and such things, but what I am curious about, is nowhere does it say if they are asking for her info or mine, and since we need the receipt # to actually schedule the interview, I need to try to get this information today if possible.

payusvisafee.rsb.ru is the page thatI am referring to, if someone would not mind giving me a helping hand,. please

  13. I have read about as much as I can read about this, and nowhere closer to the truth, as it appears that there is somewait time.

Got my physical NOA2 today in the mail. I know now, it has to go to the NVC.

She has started colelcting her poolice reports, medical records, birth certificate. I am filling out my Aff of Support (forgot the form).

Few questions. is there anything else I should be doing right now at this exact point???? I feel helpless not being able to speed this along

Is there any paperwork that she needs the ORIGINAL mailed to her, since that takes times.

How long from this piont to the end, if everythign goes according to plan?

I am trying to plan my vacation (the week she arrives) and I need to put it in 45 days in advance, and I am sure it will be soon, so any help right now would be appreciated.

  14. Congrats!!!!!!

You must start gathering birth certificates, police records/ penalty records. The whole copy of your I-129 package (pictures, boarding passes, etc all the evidence) the copy of your noa2 (hardcopy)

You will make the medical interview by the time you receive your case number. Usually you have 2 months before the interview.

    GOOD LUCK!!!star_smile.gifstar_smile.gifstar_smile.gif

I am some confused by this. When I sent in my original application in December, I sent all this information in, or are we talking about her gathering all this?
