  1. Just thought you'd guys like to know, so you have hope, that we were approved today! We submitted our application late March and had a NPIW of June 27th! There's movement! My medical was done November 2013 and I had no RFE so fingers crossed that you guys don't as well! I also did one service request early January. I first got a letter from the Boston office saying that my case wasn't there (which I already knew) and that they'd be forwarding it to the appropriate location. On Feb. 14th I got an email from USCIS saying the usual due to workload factors not related to my case yada yada yada my case is delayed....and then 9 days letter card production!

For those of you who have seen the light at the end of the AOS tunnel I have a a few questions. How long from receiving your welcome notice did you have the card in your hand? As you can see below it says it should arrive April 24th...it takes two months?! And what is ADIT processing? Hopefully not another headache!

"On February 23, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSC149XXXXXX1. Please follow the
instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by April 24, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later."

If we accept your case, you will receive a receipt notice. If we reject your case, we will send you an explanation with instructions.

As of January 6, 2015, your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number T1B3641400948BOS, is currently not assigned for processing.

Thanks Natonstan for the help....I was wondering if anyone knows what this means? I'm referring particularly to the most top part? Has anyone ever encountered this before?

  3. I've been following this thread in what seems like forever and the frustration is killing me! I passed my NPIW six month mark on December 27th (I got my NPIW on June 27) and still nothing...ugh! :ranting:

Does anybody here know or have experience with renewing the EAD/AP card? Mine expires May 27th and from what I can recall from reading somewhere I can apply for a renewal 120 days before the expiry date? I know I don't have to pay the fee as long as my AOS is pending but does anyone how long it typically takes them to renew? I'm just worried because I work at a hospital and I can't let it affect my work timeline!

Fingers crossed for everyone here...hoping more approvals come this month!

  4. Hi Folks,

I'm hoping someone has experience with my situation. I currently possess both a NEXUS and EAD/AP combo card. I'm going to be travelling back to Canada for 3 days to take care of some things and I do not have my green card yet. When I get to immigration (I'm flying btw) would it be better to just use my NEXUS card at the kiosks or should I actually go to the desks with an officer and show them my EAD/AP combo card? Do you think it makes a difference?

    Thanks!

  5. I have a very close timeline as you and currently experiencing/wondering the same thing. If I wasn't religiously checking the USCIS case status I wouldnt have known my EAD and advanced parole was approved.

Not sure if you signed upon on the actual USCIS website for case updates (left side of the pge "Sign-up for Case Updates") but I did that as well...once you've created an account you can upload your case status number and check to receive emails and text messages.

  6. My chequing account is with PC financial and the two credit cards is PC Mastercard and a CIBC visa.

I completely forgot that we can mail payments...got so caught up/used to doing online banking! After even more extensive research I found out I could use PayPal as well to transfer money from my two different accounts...mind you it's a tedious process that takes about a week to complete with 2 separate accounts... Going to try that out to see how it works.

    Thanks for the advice everyone!

  7. Hoping I can get some advice from you guys. I've recently arrived in the US and I still have some Canadian credit card debt I'm trying to pay off. I've run out of funds from my Canadian chequing account...does anyone know of a way for me to still make payments? I've tried googling but to avail...I'm sure there are people out there in the same position as me? I don't think I can deposit money into my account from a US atm/bank...and I've tried using my American debit card to make payments but that's not working...

  8. For those of you who have their interview around this time here's my info!

    Interview: Mon. Nov. 25th

    AP: Tues. Nov. 26th

    Issued: Wed. Nov. 27th

    Shipped: Wed. Nov. 27th

Ready for pick up: Thurs. Nov. 28th

Going to pick it up today, Nov. 29th! So glad everything went by fast...I was afraid knowing our luck we'd be in AP for a few weeks!

  9. So I've posted this on the Canada regional forum but just in case ppl don't see...here is my question (specific to Montreal consulate):

I just have a question for clarification as it seems there has been different answers roaming around.

I just sent in my packet 3 and waiting for it to be logged. Does the immigration visa unit schedule your interview for you or do you do it yourself when packet 4 has been logged? I've read around in other forums that they schedule it for you. But on packet 4 it says you have to do it...and when I check the CSC website it shows this:

"Please note that this system does not reflect appointments that have been assigned directly by the U.S. Government. If you have received an appointment letter (or e-mail) directly from the National Visa Center, Kentucky Consular Center or the Immigrant Visa Unit, you should attend the appointment date and time listed in that letter."

    Sooo confused!

  10. Hi everyone,

    So which one is it?

  11. So our NOA1 date was Jan. 8th and we got a notice on May 29th about our paperwork being transferred (to TSC I'm assuming). Anybody else still waiting to hear from them? I'm getting slightly nervous that we're going to be approaching 6 months soon, still nothing yet other who filed later are getting approved first. Anybody else waiting? I know some ppl called some number to get an update but the number we called just gives an automated message saying to wait 180 days (!!!!). Does anybody know who we can call to check up on it?
