Need help - husband's Oath Ceremony Letter was drafted and sent on USCIS website on July 22nd for an interview on July 22nd (1 hour after the notification came through). 

Obviously, there was no way he could make it to Newark (which is an hour away) when he was already at work! We sent them a message and tried to call but nobody has been helpful. What happens now that he missed the oath ceremony date?

We received a notification that an action was taken on our case but it's just to let us know that our application was "transferred to another field office for review" because they are taking too long. ####### does that mean?? I've never heard of that.

Still no news from our N-400 application online (New York) since the biometrics appointment that was scheduled towards the end of July. Is there anyone I can contact to try to speed this up?

Any movement in NYC? Nothing on our side and I checked today, estimated completion is 5 months. When I last checked, exactly one month ago (01/08), it said 5 months as well...

My interview is at 11:50 AM and my wife's interview is at 1 PM on the same day.

Amazing news - congrats! I just went online and nothing on our side. Estimated wait time is 5 months as of today. We shall see!

Is it normal that I haven't received any updates? We filed early July online (New York office) and no updates since our biometrics appointment On July 23.

Still nothing on our side. It's going to be 4 months since the biometrics appointment and nothing - how frustrating!

We're in a waiting game now. Our biometrics was just about a month ago and nothing... Urgh !

My estimate time of completion went from 22 months when I first files to 12 months at the moment, since they received my husband's biometrics. Now, I believe the waiting game starts. Fingers crossed for fast processing! I filed in New York early July. 

We just submitted my husband's N-400 after discovering you could do it online today! We had prepared everything already but this was much easier (and better for the environment).

Submitted recent bank statements, 4 years worth of joint tax returns, last 7 years worth of leases with both names, evidence of trips / pictures and a copy of our Facebook timeline (lol) and a bunch of other things. 

Hoping for a swift approval!

Hi guys, 

My husband and I just started the N-400 process and I noticed that they asked if we registered for Selective Service. I honestly had no clue that was a thing and worried we would be denied because of it. 

We arrived on 11/12/13 and he just turned 26 years old on a CR-1 visa. 

What could we do / what excuse do we provide?

Hi everyone,

One moving question - we've tried to change the address direct on USCIS but we've had issues because only one of the two receipt numbers on I-751 notice are working (of course) and when I type the only one that is working, the site mentions that it is not associated with the right form number (or something along those lines...).

So basically, we are unable to change the address right now. So... Is the fact that we've notified USPS to forward mail enough to at least get our green card?

We are moving tomorrow so honestly, anything beyond that, we will need to call in a couple days once we are settled.

I'm still waiting too and moving out of my place in less than 2 weeks... Here's too hoping we get the green card before then!

Does that mean they are going to move our application from California to Vermont by any chance?

Hey everyone,

My husband and I are part of the lucky people in limbo waiting to hear back for the removal of conditions. And... We are moving from San Diego to New York in about 2 months. We won't have a permanent address there since we have not found an apartment yet, so we will be forwarding our mail to my Aunt and Uncle's house.

However, how do I need to notify them of my move (without a permanent address)? How does that impact us for interviews etc?

Hopefully, we will get approval and receive the green card shortly but it might take more than 2 months. I saw that August filers are starting to get approved and we applied early September but who knows!

I was able to finally connect to the USCIS - FINALLY!

But it says that my case was received but doesn't say anything about the biometrics appointment or anything. Is that normal?

Have you tried using the Case# on your Bio-metric notice! There are two case numbers on your bio letter, try using the one that is different from the one listed on your NOA! Let us know what happens!

I can't find the biometric notice... At all. And nothing is working...

I just received an offer for a fantastic job opportunity in the UK. My husband would be ready to follow me but really wants to get US citizenship before hand.

We've been here for about 2 years and a couple months and are in the process of removing conditions on his green card. Is there a way to apply for citizenship while living abroad?
